I was looking to do something fun with my hair and wanted to find a salon experienced in hair color. I found Bowie and scheduled a consultation to discuss what services I should book and what I should expect. I showed her photos, asked questions, and even picked a color. I spent nearly 30 minutes discussing with her and then scheduled a very expensive appointment to start the process.

I showed up to my next appointment and it was immediately clear she remembered nothing from our consultation and had not saved any reminders for herself. I had to try and summarize our previous 30 min conversation in about 5 minutes. Throughout my appointment it was clear my stylist was having some sort of scheduling issue. She was whispering among staff during the appointment and even watching/commenting on the other client next to me while working on my hair.

She barely spoke to me and couldn't remember our consultation, but she remembered the color she had last used on the woman sitting next to me and was shouting it to the other stylist. She seemed preoccupied my whole appointment but never explained if something was going on. I was worried she was not paying attention to my hair. Once the appointment was complete, no one asked if I wanted to book another appointment and my stylist didn't tell me what I needed to book next in order to reach my hair goal.

I tried to ask but she provided a short, incomplete answer and rushed me out the door. In the moment, I was too confused to say anything; but when I left, I felt really weird about paying $400+ for hair service - only to be treated like I didn't matter. A few days later (a week ago) I emailed the salon to provide the feedback in hopes there would be some sort of explanation or they might suggest a different stylist.

I still have not received a response. My cut is super cute and the color is pretty, but I just booked a different salon for less money and will not be returning to Bowie. It isn't worth paying more just to feel unwelcome. Update: I am removing one star because at my next appointment at a different salon I had a totally different experience. My appointment was about $100 less but my new stylist was attentive and kind.

When I showed the stylist photos of my color inspiration, she was totally confused why Bowie had told me it would take six $400+ appointments to achieve. I understand a difference of opinion, but this definitely made me feel even weirder about the Bowie experience. All of this to say, to me Bowie was not worth the extra expense and there are plenty of better salon options in Seattle.

Stacie owns Bowie Salon with her husband. I gave Stacie five stars because she is really that good. She has the best hair products and your hair looks crazy amazing afterwards, but you do pay for what you get. Bowie Salon is expensive. My only complaint is that she once double booked me, meaning she was doing someone's hair while doing mine, which led to us having miscommunication about my next appointment, regarding highlights. Stacie is able to double book because she has an assistant.

If you don't mind sharing Stacie on occassion and paying $400 dollars than I recommend her salon. Please note, it is not uncommon for Salons to double book, so this is not unusal in the Salon World, especially for popular stylists.

The staff is very friendly, and gave me lots of good tips, but I wouldn't say the haircut was worth the extra cost compared to a Cost Cutters. It's not quite as young of an aesthetic.

I left the salon grinning from ear to ear! Yarouda did a lovely job- relaxing shampoo/massage and perfect cut and style.

I got my haircut by Sarah. She was super attentive to my hair concerns and needs (I have really put it through the ringer) and was able to keep a lot of length while making it feel and look much healthier. She also was able to configure the requested haircut with how much (or in my case- little) time I spend on styling my hair to make sure it fit my lifestyle. I highly recommend her.

Seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience, start to finish! Bowie came recommended to me from a good friend of mine; She typically see's Stephanie. Stephanie was all booked up for the time I was looking for, but I still wanted to move forward and was open to any stylist based on the reviews. The communication from everyone on the Bowie team was incredible. Texts from Jenna were quick and informative.

Their Covid form, pricing sheet, and new client questionnaire made everything super transparent.and then the most important part. My hair. Ysenia.she's your girl! Sarah did a fabulous job! She has a great eye and completely understood my hair type - fine but lots of it, with a slight wave. I highly recommend her in particular. My haircut was pricey but I think the cut/shape/styling is so good I'll be able to go longer without another visit. Services: Hair coloring, Hairstyling

Sarah has done my cut and highlights several times and I am very pleased every time. She is pleasant, precise and efficient. She even cut my nephew's hair (he is 5). He has experienced some bad hair cuts elsewhere in the past. He officially declared that he will "only come to this place to get his haircut from now on." She and everyone there is wonderful. They use Kerastase products which are the best. I'm happy to have found this salon as I just moved to Seattle in the summer.

After a disaster at another salon left my hair orange, I made an appointment with Rene at Bowie Salon. As someone with similar hair, she really understands how to get a blonde that suits you without damaging fine hair. After almost 3 hours, she lightened most of the orange and brown splotches to a lovely, cool blonde. Due to the amount of time required, it was a bit pricy, but imo, worth it. If you have a similar hair emergency or just want a stylist who actually listens to what your goal is, I recommend Rene at Bowie. :
