I've had the same stylist for over ten years but her salon is hours away and it is hard for me to make this trip as a mom now so I wanted to find someone in the Pasadena area. On my first attempt at another salon, I let the front desk assign me a stylist and I ended up with tiger stripes. Desperate for a color correction with a skilled person, I booked this salon's chief colorist for a consultation after reading reviews. However, don't expect to choose your stylist at Bravo.
I made an appointment for a consultation with one stylist and when I arrived, I was being put with another stylist (without being notified by phone or email prior) and couldn't see the stylist I selected unless I was a "friend of a friend". The online booking system shouldn't allow for booking of a particular stylist if that stylist won't see you due to the pure fact that you are a new client.
This unwritten policy is unfair and the receptionist did not communicate well. Now knowing that I was coming in as a new client unhappy about the switch done without my knowledge, I was rebooked in the afternoon by the receptionist with my selected stylist then cancelled 10 min later because the stylist refused to see me again due to me being new.
This business is being run like a sorority. I do know some women in the community that come to Bravo from seeing names of other reviewers so I could get a referral if I wanted one but I'm no longer interested. I'm still in shock about how I was treated.
