Owned and operated by Lisa Fraser and Edward Donisvitch, Pompadours Hair Salon is one of the premier salons in the Boulder-Denver area. We have been located on Boulder's historic Pearl Street Mall since 1990. Our experienced stylists are highly trained, locally, nationally and internationally, as well as frequent in-salon trainings.
A consultation must be scheduled first before scheduling this service. We offer Tape-in, I-Tip, Flat-Tip and Fusion hair extensions to gain hair length or fullness. Prices: Our pricing structure varies depending on the level of stylist as well as the length, thickness and condition of your hair. We strive to exceed your expectations regardless of the level of stylist you choose for the service needed.
Wax Waiver: A Client Waiver must be filled out and signed by both client and service provider. Service Provider may refuse to perform services based on current skin conditions; recent acid peels, microdermabrasion and/or alpha/beta hydroxyl treatments; allergies; or current medications such as Acutane, Retinol, or Retin A.
Pompadours is always accepting resumes and applications for talented, passionate stylists that love the industry as much as we do! We offer a great working environment in a high commission-based salon with education and teaching opportunities. We have ongoing apprenticeship programs for licensed stylists who are looking to advance their training in a salon environment. Always great service and products. The salon is clean and comfortable. Eddie is a Master Colorist. He has taken me from brunette to auburn to salt & pepper with auburn lowlights, and from mid back length to above my shoulders and now down to my collarbones. Always beautiful color and precise, flattering cuts for more than 25 years. Highly recommended ~ you won't be disappointed!

Pompadours is the best! Eddie has been my stylist for years and he has always been very attentive to my changing needs. I have very fine hair and he always has good advice for what kind of a cut will work with it (and talks me out of doing some thing drastic that won't work!). I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I think the pictures translate what was done. I called the salon and sent pictures saying that I was not pleased. They offered another cut and I refused (it's so short that only shaving would do).I said that all I wanted is to have my money back. Surprisingly, the stylist called my phone and left me a message telling me that she could tell me how to to style it. Ohhhh.
I guess it is the customer fault. that was the last straw for me. I have been a client for a year and I wish I could have taken a picture when I left. Was already awful. With "her styling".What a great costumer service for 84 dollars. If you want a pixie, be careful, maybe go some place else.

I made an appointment weeks in advanced and was canceled on the day of after having taken work off. When I tried to reschedule with another stylist (not even for the same day) they wouldn't honor the price of my original appointment. A few weeks ago, my sisters appointment was also canceled the day of and her wedding was the next day. Pompadours will no longer be getting my business due to poor customer service.

I paid $100 for a blowout I could have done myself. I was getting photos for graduation day of and was expecting the best for such a memorable moment. Turns out you need to "pay extra" for curls, which they don't state on their website, so the lady just blew it straight. She then proceeded to use her finger to add some curls. I was extremely disappointed and when expressing my concern they did nothing to help and claimed I would need to pay more to have it fixed the way I wanted. Mind you it was the salon owner styling my hair. Will not be returning to this salon.

I went here after moving to Colorado a little over a year ago. Although I live 1.5hrs south of this salon, I decided its ratings and awards were worth a shot. Well everything went well for the first 7 months of going there: great recovery from a horrendous highlighting job that fried my hair a couple years ago, and best haircut of my life in September. Sadly, this January, things took a turn for the worst when my stylist, Haili did not follow my directions to give a blunt bob haircut.
I instead now have hair that is longer on the left side, chunky layers that make no sense and don't blend and a weird layer on the bottom that almost looks like a tail. I told her specifically not to put layers in and to have it all one length and blunt. Even showed her a photo of her own work in September. I did call them back and the manager refunded the service. Beware that whoever you get at this salon is consistent, pays attention and doesn't assume what is best for you despite your explicit directions and photos.
I would advise asking for a senior stylist depending on preference. EDIT - There is a troll account named Susan Osborn who alleges I report salons to get free haircuts. I researched the account and they have only made one Google contribution - to defame me. Coincidence? I work in Cyber Security and know a lying troll when I see one.let's see how fast "Susan" keeps her review of ME up after I have her investigated!

I went in to the salon today just to get my bangs done - it was my first time here and I had an amazing experience with both the receptionist and my hairstylist! They were both incredibly kind and friendly, and the COVID precautions made me feel safe and at ease. Damira was professional but also fun and easy to chat with, kept checking in with me for the length and thickness, and I'm officially obsessed with my new bangs :. Thank you!

They are clean and make you wash your hands before entering. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I saw people write great reviews about Katie and decided to book and appointment with her. She is so nice and sweet and asked me several questions to make sure we were on the same page about what I wanted. I wasn't super picky about what I wanted and trusted her opinion about what to do with my hair and when she was done, my hair looked so healthy and revived! Definitely go here!

Always wonderful customer service and all stylists are amazingly competent. I've been with Eddie for years for cuts and colors, but have also had other amazing stylists. Note that if you need a rework for either cut or color they are very accommodating and always aim to please. Don't hesitate to reach out to them if you aren't completely satisfied - they get you in very quickly. Can't wait to get back in after vaccination, (spouse is immune-compromised, so must patiently wait.)

So I'm from California and came out here for college and was looking for a hair salon. All the reviews were good so I went here. The whole vibe was super good the people inside are super nice and the salon was super cute. I asked for a trim and to touch up on my long layers, but after I showered and straightened my hair it looked so bad. The "layers" were a straight line across at my chin and then the test of my hair was normal.
The two sides were lopsided and it looked so bad. I would understand if this was like super cuts or something but I paid $110 dollars and left a $20 dollar tip to get my hair butchered. I'm honestly so upset with how it turned out and would not recommend this place for a cut. I don't know about color but maybe try somewhere else if you care about your hair a lot.

After clearly expressing what I wanted for color, Minhwa, the stylist who was highly recommended to me, did not do as I asked. By the 3rd or 4th time I explained what I wanted she laughed and continued coloring my hair. 3-4 days later, just before my birthday sadly, 90% of the color had gone from my hair, leaving the gray that I had been trying to cover.
After calling and speaking with several ladies at the salon, I was advised to come in for Minhwa and the owner or manager to see. Not able to make it on the day they suggested, I called the following day to arrange to meet with them, and was told there would be no reimbursement as I had not come in when they said. It was 1 week after the treatment. Never, ever again.

A week ago was my first and my last visit at this salon. I'm from out of town, my daughter lives in Boulder. I visit about 4 times a year. Twice a week I like to have my hair done at a salon for a shampoo, blow dry with flatiron. I'm amazed how many stylists don't know how to do what I consider a basic 101 service. My hair is layered and hits longest midway down my back.
It started off okay, greeted, offered a scalp massage before the shampoo. Okay. she pulls out her blow dryer, it's a little bigger then my travel dryer. It has no extension nozzle, which I hate having heat that close to my head. She proceeds to dry my hair only with her fingers, never uses a brush until she starts to prep for the flatiron. (What)!
I also have naturally wavy hair. If my hair is not dried, it will start getting wavy within a hour or so. I proceed to watch her straighten my hair going over one piece 7-10 times every time. I can smell my hair burning. I said something to her and she said no it's fine. This is how I straighten everyone's hair. Seriously, shame on me for continuing to sit in her chair.
I can't remember her name, I believe it starts with an S', she said she has been with the salon 5 years and she has 2 kids. Of course, my hair got fuller by the time I got to my daughters house. Also, shocked at the price, yelp said 2 star on price, yet I was charged $65. I consider this high! I normally pay $45-50 in Boulder. Very unsatisfied and still mad at myself for allowing.

I get my hair colored by Brandon, my cut by Katie and have had various styles done by Minhwa. Brandon always pin points whatever crazy color requests I have and is an absolute delight to spend time with. Katie just gets it when I talk to her about my likes and dislikes. And Minhwa is a very talented stylist that can execute a look precisely. I'm so glad I found Pompadours. The staff makes the experience even better then any old hair experience. I highly recommend this salon to those in Boulder and beyond! Lol.
