A Special Place

If you are shopping for WIGS, GO STRAIGHT TO GREENSBORO, NC. There is a Wig Salon there, and it is simply "Out Of This World". THE NAME IS "A SPECIAL PLACE " WIG SALON. I bought 3 WIGS there yesterday. They had so many of them. I could not just have 1. The staff there is WONDERFUL! SO GO!

Very friendly staff! The lady that helped me was so helpful. I tried on several wigs and they actually had one that matched my hair color and it looked real good on me. She told me how to care for my wig. She was wonderful to talk to! I don't have my wig on now(12:11am), so no picture to show.

I knew nothing about wigs but I looked around the shop and pointed out wigs I wanted to try. I found a style I wanted and chose a color close to my hair and they ordered it for me. When it came in they customized it to my liking since I decided I wanted bangs. Then I got a wig on sale and Merinda shaped it to suit my face. I love my wigs and the ladies are top notch.

I'm at the beginning of my breast cancer journey and this place is an absolute breath of fresh air. From the phone call conversation my best friend had with them to my appointment today she was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and thorough. She took her time to make me feel important and to let me know that she cared about me and my journey and that they will be there for me every step of the way. Finding this place was Godsent.

I have been working with Jamela and her staff for years, and can say from personal experience that they go out of their way to provide an exceptional service. They take the time listen to your needs and work with you to get it just right - and the wigs are fabulous!

Get a receipt before leaving the store! Make sure it has the price they told you on it! Limited selection of wigs. Prices are ridiculously expensive for the quality. Older woman who 'helped' me was grumpy, impatient and unfriendly. She was just trying to sell me any old thing. She never measured to see what size I needed, (as she should have based on other review).

I guess so she could charge the expensive alterations fee. Wig ordered was too big and color much darker than I had chosen. They do file insurance with an RX, but be careful! They told me the wig I chose was $250 and was within the $350 max of my insurance. After getting wig home, I realized there was NO receipt of any kind. When I got the EOB from insurance company, I found out why they didn't give me a receipt.

They told me the wig was $250, but they billed my insurance the full $350 allowance! I guess insurance scams like this are why the owners gave themselves 5 star reviews on here, and then thanked themselves for the reviews. My cancer Dr warned me about this place. I should have listened.

I have been getting my wigs from A Special Place for several years and I have enjoyed the wide selection of wigs they carry as well as the quality. I haven't been everywhere, but, they carry the most name brand wigs that I have come across. The staff is exceptional and very patient. Sizing is done during your initial fitting, but if alteration are needed it is free of charge. They make sure you are happy before you leave their shop. And that's what counts for me. So, KUDOS to A Special Place!

I have not worn a wig in 40 years and back then I couldn't wait to get the darn thing off! And now, due to lots of medications for health reasons I was back to needing to think about maybe getting another wig but I kept remembering that awful first one but I had also gotten to the point where I was very depressed about my hair thinning.as a lot of us girls can relate to.

Then I found "A Special Place Wig Shop" on FBook and was so impressed with what they do for not just cancer patients but women like me that I finally called. This is not just a walk-in place. They bring you in for a one on one appt. And they make sure that you don't leave until they are satisfied that they have done their best to find just the right style, color and fit that makes you look your very best.

They have a wonderful selection and Deborah, my consultant, was so patient with me.the 'wig newbie' explaining the different wig styles, cap types etc. And she did find one for me that made my eyes light up as soon as she put it on my head. She was very supportive and answered all my questions and I never felt that any of them was a stupid one. Great selection, personal service professionalism and all served with a smile and a caring attitude. Thank You for a great experience!
