This decision was only possible because I was able to find a wonderful place for my team and I to relocate to that would be an ideal environment for our clients. Thankfully we will be moving to Eclips Salon & Spa in downtown McLean. Eclips Salon & Spa was my salon home for 20 years prior to beginning Hier & Haines, and their team has welcomed all of us warmly.

Annette Haines is not only the owner of Hier and Haines Salon but the #1 Miracle Worker and head Stylist. Working at the age of 13 as a shampoo girl, Annette became licensed four years later and continued to work in the hair industry for over 40 years. As predicted by her first boss and role model, Mary, Annette has made a difference in countless lives throughout the years.
Masta has been a part of our family for many years. Her hard-work ethic and helpful attitude, coupled with her optimistic outlook make her an asset to all of us. Her passion for cosmetology exudes as she styles and cuts hair. A student of the American Beauty Academy, Masta enjoys meeting new people in a place where the focus is on style, beauty, and personal care.

Annette has been styling my hair for over 25 years and I have been a client at Hier & Haines since its inception. The entire staff is friendly, welcoming and talented, and the care they give their clients, especially during COVID19 has been exceptional. I can't tell you how many compliments from complete strangers I have gotten over the years about my hair and it's because of Annette! Annette Haines and her staff are so professional, friendly and personable. Always a great atmosphere to update your beauty care, great customer service and knowledgeable in what they do. Annette makes sure they are all up on the latest trends and methods and cares so much about both her staff and her customers. I've been going there since they opened and it's always a 1st rate experience!

I get frequent compliments from strangers about my hairstyle and I can only say that I have a wonderful hairdresser. H&H salon is awesome. I've been going there for four+ years. I rely on Annette to give me a great cut and color and I'm always asked me where I get my hair done. She is helping me transition to my natural hair color, now, and I trust her advice and encouragement despite losing me as a color client. I wouldn't think of having anyone else! I've also had blowouts with the other stylists who have done an amazing job getting me ready for events.
Everyone there is friendly and professional. Since the shutdown, they've gone to a lot of trouble to make sure that staff and clients are all safe and stay healthy. Following all the precautions, I feel as comfortable as possible under those circumstances.

Wow, not many places that tick all the boxes with a 5 when it comes to service. That means a lot to me. Annette does my hair and has for years. The time she spends making sure her customers are comfortable with the process and feel welcome, is very special to to watch. I have tricky hair to cut and she has learned what and how to work with it in any growth stage.
I don't color my hair but I notice she attends to those details details, very impressive. Her side kick, Maureen, at the front desk is the best. Honestly she is worth the price of admission. Never fails to put a smile on my face. Just a great salon for people of all ages. K

Happiness is going to Hier & Haines for my first haircut since the pandemic began in March. Every precaution for customer comfort and protection has been taken, the staff is friendly and helpful as always, plus you come out looking great. Kudos to Annette Haines for her efforts to keep this excellent small business going and to her loyal staff for their support. I am very happy and grateful for the outstanding service they provide.

It was a joy moment to wake up on the day of my first haircut since the pandemic began. And Hier & Haines not only delivered on my hair but it was a joyous reunion of friends. Every precaution for comfort and protection has been taken For customers as well as for the staff. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
