The stylist was fantastic and friendly. The place has a cute vibe. Find out COST $$$$ before you make an appointment. I should have known when I booked and they made sure I put credit card on file to ask total cost but I am willing to spend $ on my hair. For haircut and highlight for level 5 it was $285.00! That is a lot to me for a strip mall chain salon.

I have chin length hair. I didn't even get water or wine with that. I have gone places that cost half that and had a glass of wine and a scalp massage. Stylist did a great job and I really like her but I can't say that it is worthy of the cost $285. I know I could drop level of stylist to get cheaper price.why risk it though. Won't be returning.

Sokunthy Mat was fabulous, she made me feel comfortable and recommended a better option for my hair that didn't require lightening which I didn't think was possible. She was excited to see the result which made me feel great knowing she was actually engaged with the process and not just going through the motions. Asked me every step of the way what my preference was and it came out fantastic. Will upload before and after soon! I will be back to see her!

Jerrod is the best! so knowledgeable as well as truly listened to my needs regarding the vision I had in mind for my cut. I am seldom ever happy with my hair but he hit the nail on the head and did an INCREDIBLE job will definitely be returning!

Jerrod was amazing! My hair was super damaged from consistently blow drying it and I wanted to do, what felt like to me, a big chop into a bob. He absolutely killed it. He took his time and made sure not a single hair was out of place. On top of that his energy was so welcoming. I receive so many comments about how cute my cut is so I'm more than happy I went to him. I have now recommended all my friends to go see him also!

I'm so happy that I went to Bouffant! Jerrod did an amazing job taking my natural hair to a light blonde balayage!

If you're someone who has dark hair and trying to go lighter, do not go here! All I wanted was a money piece, and they let me walk out with an uneven orange/red hair. The stylist is new so I'm not going to blast her name, the salon should have been assisting her more during this process. I called and sent them photos of my hair and they told me to come back to fix it so I went in the next day and their solution was to tone it which would make it darker (opposite of the look I was going for) or to pay them $150 more for them to lighten it again.

Not to mention my hair was already left with the black for an hour the day prior, and bleach doesn't even work after 45 minutes so my hair was just left to fry, and it did. I chose not to have them "fix" my hair since it was still not going to be what I wanted to achieve. I reached out to them asking for some type of refund and they will not contact me back. I'm sure the owner Allison has told them to just ignore me, so now I'm here to share my horrible experience with this salon. Save yourself, and go somewhere else!

I've tried multiple hair salons in Portland these past few years and Jerrod at Bouffant Hair Salon is the first hairstylist to finally give me what I've wanted! I walked in with hair weighing down to my belly button and left with bouncy, healthy hair that sits around my bust. Jerrod was super professional, made casual conversation with me (but didn't make me feel pressured to talk if I didn't want to), was receptive to my feedback before, during, and after the haircut process, which made me feel 100% comfortable to say what I liked and didn't like at any stage.

The whole atmosphere made me feel comfortable, the staff was super friendly with their clients and with each other, and the music the business played on their speakers had me singing to myself underneath my mask lol. They even sold me on a new anti frizz spray which left my hair feeling silky smooth and looking so shiny. I'm definitely coming back when it's time for a trim!

Couldn't be happier with the results of my balayage appointment! I was a little nervous about making such a big change to my hair, but it came out perfect. Jerrod is a true pro at what he does! Very knowledgeable and precise when it comes to color application. I will definitely be back!

This was my third and final visit. the first was great, and then when I went to book with her again, she had left the salon. That should have been my warning. Second time the water heater has gone out, so I got an ice cold rinse (and a headache from it) plus my roots came in super quickly. Third and final time, they got the color completely wrong (think dark ashy brownish blonde when I was going for icy blonde balayage) and it took forever.

I left with wet hair and noticed my hair was purple tinged on the drive home. At home, noticed full purple, so washed 3 times with Dawn and baking soda as recommended by Google. You shouldn't have to do that after spending almost $300 at a salon! I called to complain and they insisted I send a selfie and also come in, only to get there and they won't do anything today but I can rebook again for a whole new service. NO THANKS. Avoid this place.

Veronica did a fantastic job with my hair! I'm absolutely in love with how it looks and continues to look. The boutique itself is absolutely gorgeous and I love that they showcase extremely gorgeous plants that patrons can buy and take home. I'm leaving out of state but I may just come back in a few months time for this boutique and Ms. V.

Bouffant Salon is my weekly self care spot! One of their fabulous styles blows out my hair and makes it last for the entire week. I get to read and relax while they work magic. Allison (the owner) and her crew do a wonderful job of creating a welcoming, professional and fun environment. I cannot say enough good things about this salon! We recently moved and it's now about a 30 min drive from my new home but it's worth every minute. I wouldn't think of changing salons for a second.

I felt pressured into making an appointment too early for me (I work nights). And so I was a few minutes late and texted them ahead to let them know. Allison responded that I wouldn't be seen and instead be charged half the service. I go in anyway, maybe someone else can do my color and blowout, since I'm close by. I go in and Jerrod isn't even there. There's one stylist there, and she comes over and says he will be back soon. 15 minutes later, Jerrod comes in and says he can't see me and no one else can either.

So I ask to speak to whoever texted me about how much is she going to charge me? He tells me it's Allison and to call the number that texted me. A man answers, and told me she would call me back in a few minutes Two hours later I get a text saying $70. And then over a week later, Allison charged me that. I'm NEVER going back to this cold and greedy Salon again! Zero stars.

Let me start with this: have you ever gotten your hair cut and your hairstylist assumed your part? But it's wrong? So I've been coming here for years to get my hair bayalaged and cut. I decided to go for a spontaneous cut and wash ($40). All I asked for was face framing pieces and long layers. Everything was going well, she trimmed it before washing my hair and we decided where the face framing pieces would be/look like.

So after washing my hair, we went back to the seat and she started blow drying. My hair was parted to the side and I just assumed that she was trying to get the roots dried and it was just part of her layering process. It wasn't. So she's trimming and I'm getting confused bc my part is very much to the side (when it's supposed to be in the middle) and then she says "what do you think?".

And I was like, you know my part is in the middle right? That's what I came in with. And she says "oh haha I should have asked". So she flips it over and now I have a chunk of "face framing hairs" on one side. super choppy and not blended with the rest of my hair. She tries to fix it and I'm trying to hold in my anger because I just wanted it to stop.

I just mentioned it was uneven and she just kept on cutting the other side shorter and shorter so I ended up just saying it's fine. I decided not to get mad bc I didn't want it any shorter (keep in mind I asked for LONG layers) and I didn't want it to get it messed up even more. Anyways, I'm sorry I have to write this and she was super nice but who doesn't ask where the part is? I won't be coming back.

Rylee is amazing! Not only is she such a nice person, she did an AMAZING job on my hair. I had a lot of old color and I always end up pretty brassy, but she did such a great job of making me a cool, creamy blonde. Thank you so much and I can't wait to come back.

What a cute name! The salon was nice. My stylist was Jerrod. I had a Brazilian Blowout and he did a great job with my curly short hair. I was quoted $160.00 and I got cash for a 20% tip. As I was paying he said $180.00. I paid it and gave him $20.00 tip. He mentioned nothing of the discrepancy in price? Suddenly I felt like he thought I was an easy target to get $20.00 more out of me! Won't be going there again!

This salon is beyond rude and very overpriced. My wife went in to get her hair done for the first time since having our daughter 8 months ago. She wanted this so badly for her birthday and I wanted to make it happen for her. She said she hasn't felt like herself since our daughters birth and wanted to get her hair done to feel confident and happy with herself.

I wanted this so badly for her and she was so excited when she left for her appointment, how fast things changed once she got there. Upon arrival and sitting in her chair, the stylist Jarrod made a comment to her that instantly made her want to sink her her seat and go home. He said "you don't take care of your hair do you?". How can someone say this to anyone to begin with, let alone a new mom who has been learning how to care for a child and what her new normal is.

My wife knew her hair needed help, and she went there looking for that, and now the person who is supposed to help starts off the appointment like that, unacceptable. Then as the appointment went on he told her that he could not dye her hair the way she wanted because her hair wasn't accepting the dye, she was disappointed but understood. She was obviously upset so he asked her what would she like done, she told him she just wanted to do something, so he did cut her hair and tone it.

However he didn't style it, or do anything to help the situation. Then proceeds to charge her $200 for a haircut and tone. My wife left the salon in tears, yes because she was disappointed in not getting her hair done the way she wanted, but also because of how she was treated and talked to while there. She came home in tears, left for work the next morning in tears.

I called the salon the next day and explained the situation and what happened. Asked for them to make it right, and their version of making it right, offering $30 back and saying sorry she felt that way. I told them I didn't expect a full refund as services were provided, however $30 back on a $200 haircut was not acceptable, they could have done more but chose not to and to instead site their rates online and say it's "all they could do".

That's not true, if they truly cared to make this situation right they could have issued a bigger refund but they chose not to and for that shame on them. Shame on this salon for making a new mom who is already having confidence issues feel an inch tall and not good about herself. I wanted her to be happy with her hair and excited but all this place did was make her feel sad. I truly hope people see this and think twice about giving this rude and overpriced salon business.

I went to Bouffant Hair Salon in Beaverton for the first time after having read on their website that they offer the Keratin Complex Smoothing process, and made an appt for 3/3/22. The night before the appointment, I washed my hair and let it air dry in a ponytail as I always do, resulting in the usual look of my hair, which is somewhat wavy and frizzy.

I explained to the stylist Riley that I'd had the same (Keratin smoothing process) done frequently over the course of several years back in CA and that I was always pleased with the outcome, which was several months of straight, and most importantly, non-frizzy hair. She assured me that I would be happy with the results and that I could expect it to last 4-5 months.

I left the salon with stick straight hair, which is exactly the same way it looked immediately afterward every other time I've had it done in the past. I waited the requisite 72 hours before washing it, and the result was hair that looked as if I'd had nothing done to it! Immediately I called and spoke briefly to the receptionist Tommy, explaining the situation (who btw, was not at salon during my treatment).

He asked that I send a photo of my hair, to which I did. He said that he'd speak to the stylist, that perhaps a ".step had been left out", and that they could offer up getting it redone. (A weird aside.about 15-20 minutes into the process, Riley had another young employee come over, and without introducing her to me or explaining what was going on, had the employee help in applying the formula to my hair under her guidance.

I let it go instead of saying anything, which, in hindsight, I now regret.) He called me this morning stating that he'd spoken to my stylist Riley, and the following is what he said: we don't claim that the process will result in straight hair and that she never told me that I could expect this. I told him that if she'd been upfront (especially since I'd told her all about my former experiences with it) and told me that my hair wouldn't be made straight, would only be made smoother, and perhaps only slightly less frizzy, I never would've agreed to the process.

I told him that I was extremely unhappy and would like my $250 returned. His response, "we don't do that". I asked about speaking to a manager, and was told, "he'll tell you the same thing". He didn't offer up anything further to make me happy. I said, "Really, you're going to just be okay with a very unhappy customer and do nothing?" To which he repeated the same line, "we don't claim it will straighten hair. You'd have to pay $1000 for the Japanese hair straightening process for that." So, I paid $250 for a process that didn't do at all what I expected, $50 for a tip, and $34 for a sulfate-free shampoo they sell and was persuaded to buy lest my process wouldn't last.

What a joke! I told Tommy I was going to write a review of my bad experience, and he said, "okay". Nice, huh? Needless to say, I'll never return. So, be warned. Ask lots of questions before paying a lot of money for a treatment that doesn't work.

I recently had a bad experience at another salon and left with bleached brassy hair, I came into Bouffant salon looking to get it fixed and it's perfect! Jerrod was very friendly and knew exactly what I wanted even though I was very bad at describing it. While he caught me on a rough day, I didn't feel pressured to talk too much outside of some small talk, he's very calming and clearly knows exactly what he's doing! the shop is beautiful and clean, I'll have to be sure to buy a plant next time I'm in. Great Experience and highly recommend

I went in for my first curly cut (Deva cut) with Andrea. Loved the hair cut however it wasn't a curl by curl cut, like I had read online. I'm not sure what deva cut actually is, so I can't say much if it was a deva cut or not! Lol Loved the final result and will be back. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because I'm unsure if I got a Deva cut or not. Until next time, I'll keep wondering;)

Definitely never coming back or recommending to anyone I should have read the bad reviews. I went in to make an appointment for my birthday and showed the lady upfront what I would like and the hair cut. She told me it would be 150 to 190$. I agreed since that was cheaper than what I was told at other salons. I come in the next day and showed the guy what I wanted.

I told him how far up I want it and how much on the back. He said he can do it. It was my first time so I was very excited to get my hair done. When applying the bleach, it got on my skin and burned very badly. I didn't say anything and wiped it off. Everything look okay and was left in the foils for about an hour since some sides were done at different times.

When he was rinsing it out, it got everywhere. My shirt was wet from the front and back. My ears were filled up with water. Very uncomfortable. I was left at the rinsing station for 30 ish minutes. He put the "silver" dye in and rinsed it out. Then I asked him what haircut I wanted but was told no because he "wouldn't have time". What.? I made an appointment for a color and haircut.

Why didn't he make time for a haircut. He told me to come in another day. (Won't come back). After he blow dried my hair. I saw some places were green, and blonde. (He didn't put the "silver" dye in on my side). I didn't want to tell him since I was already here for almost 5 hours when I was told it was going to be 2 1/2 hours. When we went to check out, he said the total was 270!?

I'm sorry what? How did it go from 150-190 to 270? We told him that the woman upfront told us 150-190. Like I said before, how far up I want it and how much on the back. He made a phone call then came back and told us she maybe made mistake but it was 270. We told him (me and my dad) that we were told 150 to 190. We won't pay more since that was what she told us.

He said since I used more product and more time and all those excuses. We told him we will pay 190. No more. Went back to talk with another stylist and came back. Told us he can't do anything since that was the girls fault not his. We told him it wasn't our fault that we were told the wrong price. After some back and forth, he practically told us to "hurry" because he had a client waiting. "Take 190.

No more" Agreed and said he will take 190. So he tried to scam us for more money but when he saw that we weren't going to budge. He agreed to what we were told. Unbelievable. When I got home, I saw it in natural lighting and it looks bad. You came see where he didn't apply the silver dye. It's just bad and I'm mad we payed so much money just to not get what we asked for. Don't recommend this place

I had two appointments with stylist Jerrod, one for a color and one for a cut, and he was fantastic! It was my first time getting my hair done by him and both times I had a great experience. He is very knowledgeable with coloring and expressed doing blonde is one of his strongest points (he was definitely not kidding). He made sure to schedule enough time and had me out exactly when he said he would, all while giving me the exact color I had asked for.

Overall Jerrod was a great stylist to work with. He made me feel welcomed and kept such good conversation. All around a 10/10 service and experience, HIGHLY recommend coming to him if you're looking for a beautiful cut & color!

First time at the salon, everyone was so nice. Kayla (the pregnant one) there's 2 and she said to call her that was AMAZING, had my very long hair shortened to shoulder length, full biological and styled. Kayla even styled my hair perfectly, this may seem trivial but usually when I look in the mirror I know I will go home and retyle it. But my hair was perfect.

I not sure about the negative comments and the rating, it almost seems like I went to a different salon than some of them. Covid seems to have caused people to be less patient and more dramatic. I hope this helps someone make the choice to go to bouffant, you won't regret it. My next appointment is in 6 weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Note: They do not accept tips on your credit card. You can ask them for their venmo QR code for Your hairdresser at the counter and tip them appropriately later. I have been to this salon twice - and I always ask for Cody. Cody listens to you you and gets you exactly what you want. First time I went for a cut and color. The cut usually includes wash and blow dry and I asked for beach curls.

I asked for was burgundy highlights only on the bottom half of my hair. The whole thing cost me $205 without tip. The whole process took maybe 4 hours. Picture below. Second time was just a trim. I wanted to keep the length and Cody did just that. I've been to hairdressers that just keep cutting and cutting and you lose a lot of the length. It wasn't the case here. The whole wash-color-blow dry cost me $70 without tip.
