Alright, I gave the treatment time, and now I am reviewing after about a month of it being in my hair. I got the Cezanne treatment done. I am going to write as honest a review as possible. I have gotten this treatment done in the past, and will compare. Usually, the treatment is about 100-150$ cheaper than it cost here. I understand that covid have hurt businesses, so it was fine that it was more pricey. Usually, the stylist washes my hair with the special shampoo in the salon, blowdries it, applies the treatment, leaves in on for at least 30 minutes, washes it out, blow dries my hair straight and then flat irons it.

It usually takes about three hours. The treatment usually lasts in my hair about three months. Before getting to the salon, I was told to wash my hair at home and come with it dry. The treatment was left in my hair for 20 minutes, not blow-dried straight, just blow dried dry, then flat iron-ed straight. It took about 2 hours. Joseph let me keep the shampoo and conditioner the treatment came with, but in the middle of the treatment, asked if he could charge $50 more since my hair used so much of it. It's been a month, and my hair is almost back to as frizzy as usual. I'll attach a picture. I pretty happy with it for the month it lasted, but I could also tell right away that perhaps the treatment had not been left in as long as usual.

I am proud to be (I think) Joseph's most long-distance client! I live in North Carolina, and when visiting my son in Seattle over 2 years ago, I found myself in serious need of a cut-and-color. After a bit of research, I learned that Joseph is one of the most respected stylists in Seattle. I was miraculously able to get an appointment on short notice -- and I've never looked back.

In the two years since then, I've had my hair done only twice by a stylist in my home town! (My son thinks I'm still coming to visit him :-)) Joseph is skillful and patient; he always allows plenty of time for my appointment; best of all, he's a great listener -- when I request a certain length or style or color, I know that I won't end up with any unwanted surprises.

Robin did a brilliant job, both in helping me design a hairstyle for my personal brand, and in executing the cut. Thank you Robin! Very fair price too, at 36$ for a men's cut and shampoo.

First time back to the salon after their reopening. I was really impressed. The cleanliness, the safety measures in place, the social distancing, and more importantly the positive vibe. They really showed me they care about their clients health and safety as much as they care about their own. Temp was immediately taken as I came in, they have a hand sanitizer station and ask that you clean your hands, have clients review a list of symptoms and confirm you are feeling healthy, and watching my stylist, Emily, clean down her station after we were finished was great to see.

She also made a point of showing how she disinfects all her equipment. I completely feel safe going to this salon now, just I have loved going for the past 25 years. Great job, Salon Joseph!

I usually go and take whichever stylist is available during that day. Every time I've been so happy with my hair. Everyone there is so nice too!

Joseph redid my hair as promised! the cut is great and looks good even unwashed. He was very thoughtful about it and touched up my highlights as well!

I've been going to Salon Joseph for two years now. I've been delighted to try all the staff here and nothing but excellence have I experienced! This is THEE neighborhood spot! My current stylist is Emily and she has taken me on an amazing hair journey. My hair is healthy and happy because of her and I have the exact beautiful blonde that I've always wanted! She cuts my hair in a flowing beautiful manner that is pure art form! I am HOOKED on Salon Joseph! Thank you Emily! Go see her she is fantastic!

I will forever return to this place! Joseph is the sweetest kindest person I have ever met. He fixed my hair on a day they were closed and he gave me some treatment conditioner to take home. Happy I walked into this place!

June 13, 2019 update: Robin is still working her magic! I have received so many compliments on my hair the last week. Thank you for your guidance on how to bring my hair back to a healthy state while also keeping my length. I love my pink!

This review is for Michelle Clifton. She just recently relocated to Salon Joseph, but she's been my trusted stylist for years. I'm pretty persnickety about my haircuts because I'm horrible at styling my own hair. I always know that Michelle's going to give me attractive cuts that I can handle, while suggesting great color updates to keep my look fresh. Styling skills aside, Michelle is a terrific conversationalist who makes you feel at home every time you sit in her chair. I'm really glad to see her land in a salon that suits her so well.

I received a groupon for a cut and color at this salon, and I am so happy about my entire experience. It's in a bright and quiet spot and I felt very relaxed during the 2+ hours I was there. Robin did a wonderful job at not only coloring my hair, but walking me through the science of hair dying and making sure I understand exactly what was happening and what needed to happen to get me to my lighter goal. I walked in wanting to go as close to blonde as possible, and walked out excited over my brown/mahogany shade!

I had the best service ever at Salon Joseph, all because of my wonderful hair stylist Robin. She made my experience absolutely amazing. My hair feels great after a hair cut and I couldn't be happier about the result. The salon itself looks very cute and stylish and has a great atmosphere. 10/10!

I got a haircut from Joseph! I feel like a whole new person and am in love with my haircut. He transformed my hair from a mess to a cute badass look.

Tl;dr: I feel awesome and get the nicest compliments after going to Salon Joseph. Highly recommend Emily. Emily has been cutting/coloring my hair for a little over a year and I can't recommend her highly enough. I've had a lot of weird haircuts in my time, and before Emily and Salon Joseph, going to the salon often felt like an expensive disappointment. I'd go because I had to, just to avoid a three-foot scraggly braid becoming my personal brand, but I'd leave wishing my hair would grow out of the new cut quickly. Emily is a highly-experienced perfectionist.

She listens to what I'm envisioning and tells me when it's unrealistic. I usually come in spitballing ideas ("I want the color to be a little edgy, but mostly pretty!" "I want the cut to stay really long, but have lots of volume and movement!") and Emily suggests solutions that will actually look good on my head (a warm, dark brunette with cinnamon gloss that looks red in the sun; a long-layered cut that makes me feel light and fresh, but like I have more hair than before).

This spitballing is probably a bad practice on my part, btw--bring pics and more concrete ideas if you have them. :) Random note: I have a weirdly sensitive scalp, so I'm glad Emily has a gentle touch. Also, she's a great person and chatting with her makes a 3-hour appointment go by quickly. As for the salon at large, it's a lovely environment. Parking is free and easy, the space is clean and bright, and everyone who works there is a skilled professional. You can tell they have a good team dynamic going on.

A 3 min walk from home and fantastic colonists and cuts. People drive from all over to come here. I'm so lucky.

I have been going to Emily for probably the past 2 years. I have jumped from stylist to stylist and nobody seemed to get it right, a lot of them turned out botched actually. Then I randomly got placed with Emily one of the first few visits with Salon Joseph and Iv'e been going to her ever since. She REALLY knows her stuff and creates amazing looks, especially balayage.

She is very good about getting your hair to the color you want while keeping it healthy. She works well off pictures (so make sure your bring some in to show her). I was super cautious about trusting past hair stylist with my hair, given I have had so many horror stories in the past, but I trust Emily 100% to give me a beautiful look.

I've been going to Tessa since she started working here almost a year ago and can happily say I've found my favorite stylist! I can always trust her to tell me exactly what I need and answer any questions I have about my hair. She does an amazing balayage and her haircuts are perfect. I always leave the salon feeling and looking my best. During the appointment she's always a joy to talk to and has a wonderful personality. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment -- you will NOT be disappointed.

It was my first time at Salon Joseph and the place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The salon is large and well kept. The receptionist was super sweet offering coffee/tea as I walked in. Tessa gave me exactly what I wanted! I had long hair and was looking to go a lot shorter. After eight or so inches she gave me a look that was perfect for my face. She was super sweet and very easy to talk to. Will be back soon for some highlights! : Thanks so much!

Wow! See Jennifer for longer layers! I was referred by a friend to go to Jennifer. From the moment she introduced herself all the way up to walking me to the front and sending me home with an appropriate product. Nothing but accuracy. She listened as I explained the look I was going for. She was very detail oriented about how she explained what we were going to do.

Never had I received such a thorough consultation. I am so happy! I have longer hair and usually stylists don't know what to do with it. I walked out of there feeling like I had Victoria Secret hair! I will continue to refer all of my friends! Thank you Jennifer! You are talented!

Edit: adjusting my review to 4 stars (from 2). I contacted the salon and they had me come meet with Jaffra (another stylist) who completely redid the cut and it looks great! Would recommend her (not sure what her rate is though?) Original post: Very unhappy with my basic haircut with Jennifer. I have long hair and usually get extremely basic long layers and blow dry my hair straight, one of the most basic haircuts out there yet she managed to completely butcher my hair.

I haven't been able to wear my hair down since and now am going to have to lose ~5in of length instead of the 1.5-2 I wanted. $50? No thank you. I could have gone to super cuts and gotten a better cut for 1/3 of the cost.
