I feel bad for leaving a poor review especially since I was really looking for a new place to call home for my hair. I called and spoke with William and booked an appt with him. I showed him a few photos of what I wanted/had in the past. He insisted that he'd do the hair I showed him, but with his own twist to it and that I'd like it. He was so confident that it made me feel at ease initially.
After I got home, I took a careful look at the layers underneath where I noticed spotted layers of light orange, and the front money piece was very much pink. In summary, it was not what I wanted. I called back and was told that he would fix it. I came back a second time with high hopes and a positive attitude that it would work out this time. I showed William the photos again that I had before and tried to over communicate with him what I wanted.
After showing William the pictures I had showed him previously - I was first met with a little resistance, he claimed I wasn't showing him the same photos that I did before (I have a specific album comprised of photos of how I've colored my hair with the same red bayalage I've done for almost a decade - I don't stray from it) but after showing him enough photos it seemed to have jogged his memory and he fell silent.
He seemed eager to make it right which I REALLY appreciated(which is why I tipped him again at the end of our appointment for the 'correction'), however I do feel there was still a miss in communication or perhaps, just a lack of know how on what I wanted done. From the pictures posted here, you can see what I wanted was far from what I got.
In the photos is the second attempt was still blotchy and unevenly streaked work. In addition, even though I'm not tender headed, William was really rough on my hair while brushing it while wet. He hurt my scalp too and even worse, I feared my fragile ends took a beating. He brought it up himself that he works on hair like he works on cars, a rough hand indeed. :( I will say that he did ask me if it hurt, and at first, it didn't and I told him I wasn't tender headed.
I felt like maybe that gave the false green light to brush harder or not to worry about being gentle. With that said, I feel like any professional stylist would maintain a gentle, easy hand with any/all clients regardless of how tender headed or not they were. I would like to say that I'm sure this salon has many great stylists and that William is talented at many other styles and cuts, but it just wasn't the right fit for what I wanted as a client.

I have undergone many services at Bad Kittie salon including hair cuts, conditioning treatments and toner/gloss and they have all been great. Today I went in for a corrective color appointment. A stylist at a previous salon had dyed my blonde hair near black when I asked for something a little more towards my natural brown. I was devastated. Fortunately for me, William spent all day today helping me get back to looking like myself.
I was at the salon for nearly 6 hours and he never gave up on me. I am very happy with what he was able to achieve today. It far exceeded my expectations walking in. I am so thankful.

Hands down the worst experience I've ever had while getting my hair done. It was also my first time leaving a salon in tears. After having my son a few weeks ago, I decided to treat myself to a relaxing salon experience. Given all the positive reviews for Bad Kittie, I thought I would have a great experience here. William did my hair on May 17.
I asked for vibrant copper red with blonde money pieces. However I got muted brown with blonde money pieces. He yelled at me for sitting with my legs crossed, which has never happened before. While my money pieces were being bleached, my scalp started burning. He got defensive when I said something "It's just your scalp. I've been doing this for years." While my color was processing, he continuously ripped the brush through my tangled hair (from the dye).
He smelled of cigarettes the entire appointment. Huffed the entire time he was doing my hair and made me feel like a burden. At the end of the appointment he said "You just have bad hair." The other stylist Piper that was working seemed absolutely lovely. Sadly I will not be returning however. I was so excited to try Bad Kittie, but ultimately I ended up leaving disappointed. Over the weekend I went to another salon in Denver. The experience was peaceful, I didn't feel like a burden and my hair color was fixed.

I got a full color and cut by William. I'm very happy with the color but unfortunately the haircut was the worst I have received. Very choppy layers that don't blend at all. I spoke with the business and sent pictures, no one reached out to me about the service I received. I also got very offended by a lot of things that William had spoke about during this service.

I feel I should prelude--In the history of my hair I have only let my Mami cut & assist in coloring my hair and for the first time did some self care and found this wonderful place that I absolutely ADORE! It was a big process that was so relaxing and fun! Even a the best care for toner touch up before my vacation. Thank you Lora for seeing my vision and going even further by accomplishing my dreams of becoming a ginger! Then the cut?!?! I love LOVE it and even got the BIG approval from my Mami. Done! Beyond the moon!

Had the worst experience in my life. Lora is very rude! I had a highlights and haircut appointment with Lora, as I was going over the history of my hair, and might have misunderstood the question from the hairdresser, I got accused of being a liar and being rude. I was in shock! I had to leave right away ( I would not trust a person who called me a liar to work on my hair). I hope no one else gets this horrible treatment at this place. Lora is very rude!

Listen. I have been going to a lot of different places trying to get that perfect pixie cut. Salons will either flat-out tell me "no, " or give me something very.uh. more akin to the "let me speak to the manager" kind of cut. This is the first time that I really felt like the stylist understood what I was asking for, and the results were amazing! I am so incredibly happy with my haircut!
It really feels like me! I will definitely be coming back for touch-ups and pixie cut maintenance. If you've been looking for the best place to get that short-short haircut: THIS IS YOUR SIGN.

They were so so rude. Very disappointed. I called to enquire about a consultation for a perm, which was listed as a services they offer multiple places on their website. When I mentioned that's what I was looking for the lady on the phone beside they no longer offer thst service: when I mentioned they had it all over their website that they offered it, she was snarky and snapped that they hadn't had time to change it-- really?
No time to edit out a service that would take tops 10 min to do? If she hadn't been so rude on the phone, I probably would have scheduled a regular hair cut with them. Clearly these guys need to brush up on their customer service skills, as they were rude enough to lose a customer in less than a 2 min phone call. Can't speak to the quality of their hair services, just the quality of their politeness or lack thereof

I was looking for a new salon and a change. I made an appointment after reading a lot of reviews. Deanna gave me a great haircut and beautiful strawberry blonde balayage! Everyone is commenting on how great it looks and how well it suits me! She really took her time and she listened to my ideas/concerns. The shop has a very energetic & positive vibe. The owner was present and aware of all the clients. It was clean - no Covid concerns. Prices are more than fair.

Lora gave me the best hair cut yesterday. I have curly hair and with her amazing style, my curls look much better and it will require the least maintanance. I can't stop myself from looking at my hair since yesterday with a big smile on my face! I'm so happy that I found this great place and an amazing stylist!

I got my daughter a haircut and strips of fun color done here for her birthday when traveling through Colorado a few months ago. The cut and the color have both been amazing, it's been 2 months and the cut is growing out beautifully plus color is still vibrant! I can't remember the stylist's name, but my daughter said she had blue and pink hair. If we are ever traveling back through Denver, we will be back to The Bad Kittie!

I had such a great experience at The Bad Kittie Salon! I went in with long, dark brown hair wanting to get my hair dyed blue (and for the first time ever). Lora and Hannah were both super friendly and worked with me to get the best results for my hair type. Hannah did an AMAZING job with the color, and Lora with the cut and style. Their COVID protocols made me feel safe while in the salon as well. I would definitely recommend this salon and will be going back in the future. Thanks again ladies!

Ive been a client of Hannah's since last summer, I moved here from NC and had had the same stylist back home for 10+ years. I was weary of finding someone comparable but Hannah is just that! Ive now had 3 appointments with her and have always left happy. Recently I got a bright copper auburn and it turned out perfect. Always does my cut and bangs how I like it too. The salon is quaint and homey- and everyone Ive come in contact with there has been lovely! Highly recommend!

I have been going to Bad Kittie since I was 11 years old and I am now 21. The environment at Bad Kittie is very comfortable, supportive and you always feel like you are with family. Lora is an incredible stylist and one of the reasons I am pursuing a career as a stylist myself. Lora has saved the day for my many home hair disasters and believe me as a teenager who wanted to change their hair weekly there were a lot of mistakes and Lora was always there to save the day. Bad Kittie salon is an inspiration to me and will provide you with supportive and caring hair care!

I got my hair done here by Lora (the owner) It is super over priced and they did a terrible job. I shouldn't ever have to come back in to get my hair touched up for a haircut. I spent $100 with tip to get my hair done. I am very disappointed and have been waiting 6 months to cut my hair because of COVID. I saw so many good reviews from this place but they obviously don't take their time to get their customers what they need. She didn't even straight my hair all the way. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. Now I have to find a new salon that will do their job. How disappointing.

I hadn't dyed my hair in almost 8 years so I was super apprehensive about getting a color that I actually liked. Hannah was an absolute dream! She turned my mousy hair into a beautiful natural auburn balayage and I couldn't be happier. Super easy to talk to and she did it in record time. Highly recommend this shop and her!

Soooooo happy I went to Tonya at The Bad Kittie Salon today! Before this, i had a disaster cut. And Tonya saved me from the shelf-cut I got back in January! The eclectic atmosphere of local artisans decorates the entire shop. I arrived early for my appointment and am glad I did! There were so many beautiful things to absorb and adore. I showed Piper a few images of what I wanted to do with my hair. With a short discussion, she knew exactly what I wanted and didn't fail to deliver. The staff were all friendly. I came in wanting something that could look professional yet edgy and got more than I could ever have imagined. I can't wait to show off my new doo.

So happy with my experiences so far at Bad Kittie. The ladies here all make you feel warm and welcome. From making my appointments, to being greeted when I walk in, to the whole color/cut process, to check out. It's all enjoyable. I think their prices are totally fair. Sy has done my hair both times now. She's adorable and funny and sweet, easy to talk to, super cool (I want to be her), and listens to me while giving fair advice.
I decided to go super platinum and Sy walked me through what to expect. She took really great care of me and my hair, I have zero complaints! They'll offer you wine, beer, a soda, water. They had pizza in for lunch and offered me some of that as well. Such a great atmosphere; casual and you feel like you're with friends. I'll definitely be a repeat customer (especially now that I gotta get my roots done every 5 weeks). :)
