At the age of 21, tired of making minimum wage and going to a job I dreaded every day, I enrolled in cosmetology school. I always had an interest in art, fashion and photography and wanted to apply these interests in my career. Now, some 30 years later, after hours and hours of classes and training, hairstyling has given me the opportunity to work with my hands and imagination to create the vision that the client and I conceive together. I hope that the stylists at Todd's can help you achieve your own vision that you have for yourself to look and feel your best.

It was my first visit to Todd's and it was an overall great experience. Todd and his staff are very friendly and welcoming. I really love my hair cut! I asked for a curly bob, not too short and the shape and length of my hair is exactly what I wanted. I'm so grateful to find this salon so close to home! Will definitely go back.

I'm new to Wilmington and have been growing my hair for over a year. I was understandably nervous about being able to communicate exactly what "look" I wanted. Todd listened and gave me the best cut and style I've had in years. It looks great and is easy to care for. Staff was cordial and location super convenient. Service: Hairstyling

I've had my fair share of bad hair salons, but my two visits at this salon so far have been delightful. Both times they've been able to squeeze me in on short notice with the stylist Linda, who I absolutely adore. Takes her time to achieve the perfect look, I feel beautiful everytime I leave. She is warm hearted. The owner and staff are very friendly, and welcoming. Clean, professional, did not feel rushed at all. Will continue to come for when my hair grows out!

I have absolutely love every hair cut and dye I have had here! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. They are very comfortable to talk to! I highly recommend the hairstylist Visma. Every time she has done my hair it has looked INCREDIBLE! Better than I even imagined it being :D I have gotten so many compliments on my hair because of her! She is very easygoing, honest and funny. She also gives amazing hairstyling tips! I have tried other hair salons, but this is by far the best one. 100% recommend

Vizma at Todd's is amazing! I am always skeptical to get my hair trimmed because usually places take way too much off. Vizma did exactly what I asked and transformed my hair from stringy and dead to beautiful and lively! My hair has never looked so nice after a trim! Also I love how I was able to book my appointment right online. It was super easy and user friendly! 10/10 recommend.

My first visit to Todd's was today and it was fabulous. I was indecisive about what I wanted to do about color but Linda took a lot of time and then proceeded to give my hair the best cut and color I could have hoped for! She is awesome!

The worst hair cut I ever got in my entire life. I chose this salon as it is close to my house & I chose Kathy Burke as she has very good lines written on her profile such as "she believes that keep beauty current, real & exciting", but in reality I am not even sure what kind of hair cut I got, I was planned to go to the big family gathering next day & I had to just tie my hair because hair cut was so bad besides it is being expensive on high end.

The second big disappointment was not being clear with the price at all in front. When I booked my appointment I did ask receptionist that I want to have Keratin treatment & how much it will cost, she mentioned when you come for your hair cut then your stylist will tell you by evaluating your hair & it is complimentary, she also said she has noted it on your profile.

So far so good, so now I am at the salon & asking Ms. Kathy how much approximately it will cost for my Keratin treatment & here is the disappointment comes she handed me their price booklet which is same as online which says price is between $175 - $300, this is their complimentary evaluation. I find she never wanted to share the price and I am certain she would charge $300 after providing the inferior service, that's why there is no clarity on the price though person is sitting in front of you.

I waited for long time not to write a negative review but I could not stop myself as I find it is being really bad practice. Wasted my money, time & got emotionally distress for time being.

Review Edit: All one can ask of a business, big or small, is that when an error occurs, they take full responsibility for the problem and make honest efforts to rectify the situation. Todd did exactly that. After my original posting, Todd contacted me personally and apologized for the poor experience I had with scheduling and cancellation. He made abundantly clear that this is not how he runs his business, and the miscommunication through the front desk staff has been clarified.

He invited me in for a haircut performed by him personally, completed today much to my satisfaction. He is a genuinely kind person and it is clear that he takes great pride in his salon. I chose to believe that my original experience was an outlier, and I would certainly consider returning for another haircut in the future. Original Post: I had an appointment booked days in advance with one of their stylists and planned my weekend around the appointment time.

Just half an hour before they appointment, they called to inform me that the stylist I booked was running behind that morning, and asked if I wanted to book with another stylist. I at least had the sense to ask if the price would be the same, and they informed me that it would be more expensive to switch to a different stylist. So then I asked how far back my original appointment would be pushed if I stayed with the original stylist, and the woman informed me "well she's booked up for the rest of the day".

In essence, they cancelled my appointment last minute in order to accommodate for the rest of the customers that day because the stylist was running behind, UNLESS I wanted to pay more for my haircut at a different time. Absolutely absurd from a customer service perspective. This would have been my first visit and they would have potentially established a repeat customer.

After this experience, I will never consider having my hair cut here. If that's how they treat customers before they arrive, I don't want to know what it's like after you've arrived.

This is one of the best salons I've been to and it's all because of Emily Palmer! She is an awesome stylist! She takes the time to understand what I am looking for and she is HONEST about what she can do and what will be best for me! It is money well spent and you can tell the salon takes a lot of pride in what they do! Berneice is also amazing and very helpful! Thank you again for a great experience!

Make sure you are clear on the cost of the services you are needing. Prices are not displayed and receipts for payment are not itemized. Never heard of a $20 charge to pull the color through at the end of a root touch up. Who wouldn't need that after their original color has faded over a few weeks? Surprise additional fee to use the bonnet hair dryer for five minutes Given a price when I booked the appointment, considerably higher in the end. Nice stylists, just don't like the surprise fees. Looking to take my business elsewhere.

Bad experience. My hair looked terrible. Asked for a short bob and this is what I got. I just wanted a simple short bob. My first time there I was really happy but when I went back I feel like the hair stylist wanted to do her own thing. I don't like writing bad reviews but I was really disappointed in how my hair looked. I didn't ask for layers but you can see some type of chopped layers we're going on.

I have been going to Todd's now for over 2 years on the suggestion of a friend. It's a bit out of my way in Southern PA - but it's worth it. Ashley is an artiste and knows how to get my color just the way I like it. She gets "it". She can be a fashion chameleon and understands when I can't exactly find it in a picture - she asks all the right questions and gives me what I want.

I am preparing for a trip to Europe on business and need an effortless hairdo resistant to frizz. Ashley suggested one of the Keratin treatments to deal with the frizz. I am happy, happy, happy. The added bonus - it was $100 less than what I had paid at my previous salon in Glen Mills. Laura, the nail aesthician, really knows her stuff. She has worked wonders getting me back into my own natural nails.

I have always worn closed toe shoes as my toenails were my least attractive feature. Laura was able to provide an acrylic coat and I stepped into the country club with open toed spiked heels. Now I am sporting strappy sandals with open toes like never before. The prices are affordable. I had been with a high end salon and paid twice as much for a mediocre at best end product. Todd's is terrific! Come see Ashley and Laura.

I have been going to Todd'so for 5 years now. I have found their staff to be extremely skilled. Even when my regular stylist is not available, the others have proven equally skilled. The price is reasonable, but mens' haircuts are generally cheap.

My hair salon moved down to Middletown so was looking for a new place. Reviews for Todd's looked good; here at Yelp and other places. So I made an appointment for a cut. I was very impressed. My stylist was Kathy and she was friendly, professional, and did a great job. I had copied a coupon from their site for a goodie bag at a first visit. When I presented I was told they didn't have any available right at the moment but they expressed sincere regret." No worries", I told them.

A couple hours after I got home I got a call from the salon with the receptionist telling me that Todd had heard about the lack of a goodie bag for me and he whipped one up and I could drop by any time and get it. So I did. Shampoo, conditioner, Moroccan oil, and a complementary manni-pedi! Above and beyond the call of duty. I will definitely be back.

My family and I have been clients of Todd since we moved to Wilmington in 1986. At first, being new to the area and not knowing any good hairstylists, I decided to go to Mr. Larry's in Branmar Shopping Center (close to my home) where you could just walk in (no appointment needed) and get a haircut. Each time I went in (every 6 weeks or so) I would get a new stylist.

They were all good, but Todd was great! He actually took the time to "study" how my hair grows, which really impressed me. And the way he cut my hair was even more impressive. He eventually left Mr. Larry's and I got a little panicky because I didn't know where he had gone. After learning that he had moved over to Hairworks, I made sure that my family and I continued to be his clients.

Not too long ago Todd took over what once was the Jeffrey Allan Salon (eventually changing the name to Todd's). My husband Alan, older son Aaron and I are still his clients. :-) My younger son Seth, was also a client of Todd's until he moved to NYC. Everywhere I go, I am constantly getting compliments (from friends AND strangers!) either on my hair cut or color (or both) and I immediately tell them Todd is my hairstylist. Everyone at Todd's is wonderful. Very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Todd's A Hair Salon to anyone!

202 (aka concord pike) has probably over a dozen salons. I had never even heard of this place prior to seeing a living social deal being offered. It's location is right smack dab next door to one of my favorite dining establishments( melting pot). I called to make an appointment and they only had one slot open 12:45. I Got a phone call Friday confirming.

I arrived a few minutes early. The reception area was really crowded and I wasn't acknowledged right away. But the woman who was going to doing my mani /pedi came over and greeted me. She's super friendly and chatted with me while giving my feet some much needed attention. My feet will forever be in her debt. The products used were good quality.

My hands would soon received the same treatment. Two things reduced this review a star. The nail polish selection isn't very large. I like to have a big variety to choose from. I was able to find a newer color ( shoot out @ the ok coral- gotta love that opi! There is only one nail tech so one service per person at one time. The nail area does have two pedi chairs but only one nail station.

I would def come back here. The normal cost of the mani/ pedi is similar to that of the normal Asian salons. A- for effort to Todds. I'll keep this place in my rotation.
