I didn't love their prices. Also, He's in my fingernails after just one week. I paid a lot of money for all those shellac and gel business so they wouldn't break so easily. I did not like that they charge $5 just to shape your nails into anything except square. and I forget how much it said it costs to replace broken nails, I'll be going anywhere else to replace these. Staff is very kind and informative though.

The Agostin guy who reviewed MA salon is a lier, the prefer appointments for fast cuts but walk ins are good too, both are fast service. Been going their for 2 and a half years, every time they cut it is amazing. Everyone can fade the hair amazing and line it up. Just skilled, they can cut your hair and make it look like anything you want. Samir is so funny and kind, best barber in MA salon is Samir. Good and fast service too.

Very happy with this salon. Just moved to MH and was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done, walked in about 30 minutes before closing, I had to wait for a while but I didn't mind because the couches in the waiting area are super comfy. This guy knows what he's doing, I'm very satisfied with my eyebrows and will return in the future.

This is the worst run salon in the entire tri-state area. I had appointment with the owner for a Friday afternoon (I was traveling out of town for the weekend). When I got there the two stylist were packing up to go home and the stylist that I had an appointment with had already left for the day. This was the worst thing that could have happened to me.
Do you think the owner or stylist did anything to compensate for this lack of professionalism - no they did not. I was put out on the street to try to find another salon late on a Friday. Michael Anderson needs to close that shop down for good he has no idea about how to treat paying customers. Please do not waste your time at this place.

So sad to give out a 1-star review BUT I don't give these lightly. My 16-year old daughter made an appointment to have her hair relaxed and cut. On the day of the appointment, I drove her to this salon. Her appointment was to be first thing when they opened. We were there about 10 minutes before their opening hours but the place was dark. Still, I told my daughter to wait it out and that surely someone would open the doors soon.
I then drove off to run errands while she waited outside. About 35 minutes later my daughter texts me asking me to come by and pick her up. When I asked why so soon she said that she was still stuck waiting outside! WOW. No one ever showed up. No one called us to cancel or reschedule. I got there and yeah, the place was totally in the dark. I got my girl and was really disappointed because my daughter had a special event to attend and there aren't many salons in our area that do relaxers. This was an immense, total let down experience. We never received any apology or follow up call, ever.

First of all let me say I take FULL responsibility for this because you can't just trust anyone with scissors in your hair, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. Went in to get a wash, blow dry and flat iron. I am transitioning to natural hair. I needed to get my hair done because my normal stylist was out on vacation for two weeks and I used to go to MA Salon years ago as a regular client. Sigh.here we go.
The stylist (Coletta)insisted that my ends needed to be trimmed, I am not one of those crazy women who bust into tears at the sight of a pair of scissors so I agreed that my hair needed to be TRIMMED. An hour later my hair was not TRIMMED but CUT. My hair was in layers when i got to the salon, when I left it was cut into a blunt bob like cut that looks HORRIBLE from the back.all of my length in the back is GONE.
To say that I am disgusted is an understatement. The kicker was that this stylist actually charged me for a CUT and not a TRIM, OK so if i needed a TRIM why did you charge me for a cut? So because a stylist decides to takes it upon themselves to do what they want with my hair, for the next 3-4 months I have to wear my hair up in a ponytail attachment.
I know hate is a strong word to use, but I absolutely HATE the way my hair was cut and I know when my normal stylist returns and I have my appointment she will be just as disgusted. Ladies PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not let anyone near your hair with a pair of scissors unless you have built up a relationship with them and they know YOU as a client. This was a lesson learned for me and I will never go back to this salon. I like Michael, but some of the stylists that he has working for him are a bit on the questionable side as professionalism and hair cutting skills.

I scheduled an appointment with Michael for a relaxer. I was leaving the state for a funeral in NYC and asked the (male) receptionist for an early appointment, preferably the first since I had to leave by a certain time, the only other time I had been to the salon I had to wait 45 minutes before I was seen-more on that in a minute). The morning of my scheduled appointment, I arrived early to a darkened salon, knowing I was early I waited the 15 minutes for it to open, and waited and waited, a half hour after the salon was scheduled to open!
I called the phone and got an answering machine which also stated that the salon was to open by a certain time. I left a message, furious, because I had to be somewhere, and asked that someone call me back, no one ever called, I never got so much as an apology. My appointment by the way was with the owner! The first time I went, I waited 45 minutes before being seen.
I found the atmosphere unprofessional, lots of gossip, and for a salon that supposedly didn't allow children, there were lots running around-one of which belonged to a stylist. The shampoo rum wreaked of chemicals and I didn't think it was exceptionally clean. It's a shame, as much money as we black women spend on our hair, we don't get the good service we deserve!

So.it didn't go well at this salon.especially after the end result. All I needed was a touchup for my relaxer. First I saw on the website that it was $90 but then when I was checking out they charged me $130.so with tip it was about $160. I was not happy with that.then that night when I was pulling my hair up I found a good bit of relaxer still in my hair at the nape of my neck.
So I had to wash my hair (after 4 washes it was still crusty back there). I could tell it was burnt. I went to Red Door the next week to get a haircut and my stylist there found burns all over my head, where other bits had been left in. She did a conditioning treatment on my hair but it still felt like hay for weeks and my scalp was SO itchy. I could actually find scabs on it and pull them off.
My hair has always been soft;even when I was doing relaxers at home. I was tempted to call and ask for a refund. I just can't believe all the burns on my scalp. I've never had that happen before.
