Walked in with story about a haircut I saw in Aldies. They figured out what I wanted and cut it perfect the next day. Wendy was very sweet.

I have been a customer for at least a decade. Brenda is amazing at cutting to my hair not just a style. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

I had a FANTASTIC experience at Lori's. I booked an appointment for a woman's haircut and had a relaxing, comfortable experience with Dawn. She knew exactly what to do and how to style my hair. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Lori's and specifically Dawn for hair. Thank you!

These women are very nice, but they have no idea what they are doing aside from a very basic cut and color. However, they will charge you like they are the top 10 stylists in the area. This is far from the truth. I basically left looking the way I came in. Sure it was a little lighter and brighter, but not worth the $$$ I spent. The woman who did my hair was super nice, but very unsure of herself.

I will have to drive for results and wouldn't come back here for anything. I will give this two stars for pleasant people, but for a so-called 'Aveda Salon' I expect results. The only reason I didn't complain directly to the salon is that 1) I didn't want to argue 2) They sure as heck weren't going to 'fix' me and 3) I was referred by a friend.not worth it.

This place gets an extra star for being pleasant and having a nice place. However, none of these ladies keep up with the times and the stylist I had seemed frightened to perform a simple foil. Thank goodness I didn't get a cut too! I came out almost with the exact color I came in with. I expected light and bright and came out with same/same and my wallet was around $140 lighter.

I didn't complain because one of their friends referred me and it is also difficult to see with the lighting. These ladies perform on a basic level, but for more money than they should charge. Don't let the 'Aveda Salon' label fool you as the services are probably the equivalent to Great Clips-no kidding.

Great spa & massage services! I've been going to Lori's to get my massages for well over 10 years now. I drive 1.75hrs to get there. Yes, there are other spas within 15min of my home but the drive from southeastern MN to River Falls is beautiful - no matter what the season. It's a great time for friends and I to relax, laugh, enjoy the ride before going for a massage.

Once inside the building, the rooms are decorated with very soft lighting, light background ocean waves sounds, and fill you with such calm. I always get the one-hour full body massage and I have them add on the hot stones with it. This is a luxurious massage that pampers you from the moment you lay down until it is over. I have had the facial and the way I was pampered was incredible.

I have never requested any masseuse specifically as I have enjoyed every massage no matter whom is giving it. I make sure I specify what I am looking for in the massage. Due to working on a hobby farm, I sometimes need a deep tissue massage to work out all of the knots in my neck and back. They can accommodate this nicely. I have had a relaxing/de-stressing massage which does the soul wonders as well. Lori and her staff have such a kindness in their hearts and can tell they truly enjoy their careers to serve and take care of each client that comes to their spa.

I will continue to be a loyal client as I appreciate just how much they care and how wonderful the services are. Customers - don't be afraid to voice if you want the pressure of your massage to be adjusted during the appointment. They want to take care of your needs and they won't be offended. If the pressure isn't enough, ask for it to be stronger. If the pressure is too much, ask for a lighter pressure. It's your massage - they want to make it a great experience.

Outstanding service, staff and atmosphere! We have been beyond pleased in regards to all the services we have had there. hair, massage and pedicures. Also love the AVEDA products as well as boutique items. I love Lori's Day Spa and wish my schedule could afford more trips in for pampering. But am always glad when I have a chance. I have no hesitation recommending Lori's Day Spa to anyone. Keep up the great work. It is wonderful to have a treasure like this in River Falls. Thank you! =

I've been very happy with most services at loris. Been going for years for massage. Recently I went through something traumatic with my hair falling out due to stress. I sent an email to loris letting my stylist know of this devastating condition. I never heard back from my stylist Wendy. Very disappointed that I didn't hear from her. will no longer be using Loris for hair services :

Lori Moran, the owner and masseuse, is one of the nicest, kindest women you will ever meet. I feel blessed to know her and she gives the most awesome massage you will ever have. Another Lori gives great massages also. And Tracy is excellent at pedicures and facials and lip waxes. So gentle. I feel wonderful every time I leave there.

I'm new to town and am very picky when it comes to my hair as it's very thick. Lori's looked good online, so I thought I'd give it a try. They were amazing from the get go. I forget her name, but the receptionist was very friendly and professional. Brenda cut my hair and I cannot say enough good things about her and the experience. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

She listened to my needs/wants and also added suggestions. She explained each product she used and suggested products that would agree with my hair best. She also gave me samples to take home and try. Brenda was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond. I am definitely a customer for life!

I have been to Lori's in the past for massages and had great experiences. I went in today for my first shellac nail service and was very impressed by the quality of the attention to detail that went into the process and the results. The technician and I had great, casual conversation and I felt feeling dazzled by the results. I also enjoy that they carry Aveda products and have very excellent staff from the moment you're greeted at the desk to payment.

I went in for a make-up application with Tracey. She was fabulous in recommending what looked best on me and showing me different techniques in applying. Lori took the time to show me various products at the end of my visit and provided me with additional tips. The entire staff at Lori's provides for a wonderful experience and they all truly pamper clients and make them feel so welcome. I would highly recommend any of their services. You will leave there feeling refreshed and well cared for.

Deep tissue massage with Renee was fabulous. She worked out some extraordinarily difficult issues I've been having with leg cramps. The surroundings were clean, quiet, comfortable and luxurious. Lots of free parking nearby. Discount available if you rebook your next appointment before you leave.

I've been going to Miss Diane for my last couple of haircuts/ eyebrow waxing. I came in originally after a terrible haircut at a local chain store.when your husband looks at you and asks you if they cut your hair with a weed whip, trust me it was bad. Miss Diane is incredibly thorough and does a perfect cut. I have medium curly hair and she straightens my hair to ensure an even cut.

They don't find reasons to up charge you for every little thing. They offer you a warm neck wrap and tea FREE while you wait. Convenient weekend hours and a very professional experience. The epitome of pampering. Worth every dime. If you get the pleasure of meeting the owner Lori, she is also very pleasant. Great place.

Came here to get a mani and pedi for my May wedding. This place is so pretty and relaxing. My manicure and pedicure were so much fun and my hands and feet felt and looked fantastic when I was done. The staff is incredibly pleasant and wonderful to be around. They can be pretty pricey as far as mani/pedis go. Had it not been for the fact that it was for my wedding I'd probably have gone elsewhere. However it was a very positive experience.

Come here for a monthly massage and have a wonderful experience every time. Even made it in to an appointment during one of the many snowstorms this last winter and Lori was out shoveling the walkway herself for guests. I also received a facial here once and loved the room, it contained luxurious looking pedicure chairs next to a fireplace so now a sisters day with pedis at Lori's is on the to do list.

My experience with Lori's has been limited to facial waxing and pedicures, but those services have been consistently good. The pedicures in particular are better than any I've had anywhere else. Sometimes when you are "only" purchasing the less expensive services from a spa, the employees don't exactly give you the same treatment they'd give someone else who was getting multiple services and spending a lot more money.

That is not the case at Lori's--I am always greeted warmly and I'm offered the same amenities as someone who is there for much pricier services. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting and very relaxing. The prices are a little steep for such a small town, probably more comparable to the Twin Cities. But when I consider what I'm saving in time and gas, and the wonderful customer service, I'll stick with Lori's.

My experience started upon arriving at the spa and receiving a warm welcome from the receptionist. I was given a warm neck wrap and served hot tea while I waited in the relaxation room. The decor was very warm and inviting. The staff was extremely pleasant. I booked an appointment for a Brazilian wax with Lori, owner of the spa. I have had Brazilian waxes multiple times before, but not from this spa.

The end result of the Brazilian wax was disappointing. Out of all my waxing sessions, this was the only time I ever experience pain. I was with Lori for about an hour, when my previous professional wax sessions took around 20 minutes. Lori's unprofessional attitude shocked me. She blamed me for her inability to completely remove all the hair, stating the hair was matted and grew in different directions.

Her technique felt unrefined and lacking in experience. I was asked to hold my own thigh to assist in tightening the skin for hair removal. I do not believe an expert in this field should have their client help out to this degree; it made me feel that she was unskilled. In my previous waxing experiences, I was never asked to assist and all hair was removed successfully.

They offer no trimming services in case the hair is too long for the wax to reach the roots appropriately, yet on their website there is a note saying "*For best results the hair must be at least 1/4 inch long (approx. two week growth). " I know other salons have trimming services available in order to maximize hair removal and decrease client discomfort.

At the end of this painful experience, not all the hair was removed as one expects with a Brazilian. I was still charged for a Brazilian wax and no other discount was offered. She does not appear to have the touch or skill to do Brazilians; I do not recommend anyone to book a Brazilian wax appointment with Lori! The next day after talking to Lori, she very graciously gave me a full refund. I commend her excellent customer service.

Had an amazing facial here. Their makeup is pricey, but I splurged on a face powder, which I used everyday for 2 years before I had to replace it. Whenever I go home to visit my family, I love stopping here. Most services priced fairly, though some a little too high for comfort, but you will get what you pay for.

They offer a wide range of services, but they're pretty pricey -- like what I would expect to pay in the cities. I bought my mom a gift certificate for $50, and when all was said and done, I believe her haircut, style, and grey coverage cost over $100. The place has some little extras for sale as well, like bath salts and lotions. It also felt a little claustrophobic to me in the main room, but maybe it's easier to breathe in the back rooms where they do haircuts, etc.
