Leslie Norman and Dan Garvey, co-founders of Headliners Skin & Hair Care, Inc., began serving the surrounding communities in 1979. Headliners started with a staff of three, but through constant dedication and continuing education, we have grown both in space and staff to become one of the largest in Connecticut. Over the years, however, some things have not changed: our decision to strive to deliver the highest level of guest service and to continue to push ourselves to maintain excellence in technical skills and professionalism.

Alexa cut my hair and bangs after I expressed how nervous I was about getting it cut, she reassured me and explained their technique as she was cutting my hair. Needless to say I walked out of headliners a lot more confident and reassured than I did when I walked in. 10/10 definitely coming back. Totally with the price. Services: Hairstyling, Haircut

I have been a customer of Kim's for approximately 15 years. The service at Headliners is exceptional. Everyone is extremely professional and it's clear their focus is on the ultimate customer experience. Since Covid I have been visiting the spa for facials and massages. I could not be happier with the service I receive from Headliners spa and salon. I have been going to this salon for more years than I can count and have always had excellent service. I've always been treated with the utmost respect and care. Always timely and very flexible. I would not trust anyone else with my hair and brows. The very best!

I have had 3 bad experiences here. 2 separate times my appointment was scheduled close to closing and both times the client before me ran late so my appointments were extremely rushed and not done as well as they should have been. I felt like I was being pushed out the door. My most recent experience was bad enough to make me never go back. I went in for a consult for a hair color, was told it was doable and no maintenance would be needed, I had pictures of what I wanted. Sounded great and the stylist seemed to know what she was talking about and seemed very confident in giving me the results I wanted.
I went In for the color and what I left with was not even remotely close to what I had asked for. She ignored my concerns during the appointment( I could tell she was doing a completely different look), felt very rushed, and she didn't finish because they had gone past closing but didn't make me a appointment to finish. I had to pay for a entire new session if I wanted to finish this coloring that wasn't even close to what I had asked for.
I made a redo appointment with someone else and was instantly met with attacks. instead of listening to me I was told I was wrong, I miscommunicated and that what I wanted wasn't possible. Even accused of showing the wrong pictures. All I wanted was a simple balayage. I felt very attacked and was very close to getting up and leaving before even attempting to fix my hair.
My hair was not "fixed." She was very rough with my hair and I've never actually experienced pain getting my hair washed before. It was very awkward and just truly did not want to be there, I can't believe how much blame was being put on me. Now it's just something I have to live with. The receptionist are very nice but I will not be going back here and suggest others to go somewhere where the stylists have more experience coloring hair and better manners.

I have been a customer here for 9 years. It was spectacular under Dan's supervision. It has declined in customer service drastically. I drove an hour to get there, only to be told that my appointment -- which I made -- is not on the books and I can come back in a week. The last time I tried to make an appointment to get my bangs fixed, I was told that I could not make an appointment but instead should call every day until there was an available time for a fix. Since I loved Dan, this is deeply distressing and disappointing.
