Love this place. She has been my stylist for over 10 years. Her shop is clean, and a pleasure to be there. She will not disappoint. She did my hair and makeup.

I recently moved into the area and had been searching for a hairstylist. I tried a few salons that didn't work out so well. I was never fully satisfied with the final outcome so I continued my search. I decided to try N-Joyable Hair Studio and I'm so glad I did. Phyllis is so professional and extremely skilled at her craft. I have a pixie cut and had been told by other stylists that I could not get the cut I wanted because of my hair being so thick, but Phyllis showed me that it was all in the technique and she was able to give me the style I've always desired. Phyllis goes out her way to make her clients feel welcomed and happy. I always enjoy my visits with Phyllis and would highly recommend her to everyone.

My experience was AMAZING. I felt listened to, and cared about. The salon was beautiful and for a big chop it was a great way to start! Ms. Borum made me comfortable and made sure to walk me through the process. She didn't preform any service that was unnecessary and she consulted with me concerning getting my hair strong & healthy. With more than 25 years of experience in hair and makeup you could never go wrong here!

I was experiencing dry hair and major hair breakage due to consistently wearing protective styles and my lack of knowledge of products/natural hair care for my hair type. She is very present with her clients and takes the time to not only educate but personalize your hair growth journey. After every appointment she has followed up with me which I truly appreciate! Phyllis is fantastic! She takes time to learn about you and your hair and will provide individual advice about how to best care for your hair given your hair goals and lifestyle. After years of relaxers, I had decided to let my natural curls grow - but after a few years, I didn't know how to manage my thick curls anymore. Phyllis recommended the keratin treatment which has been amazing.

I can have the straight, sleek look I want with a blowout, but my curl pattern is maintained and it is not as harsh as the chemical relaxers I used to get which caused major hair breakage. My hair has never been longer or healthier. Plus, the salon is always very clean, Phyllis is courteous and professional, and most importantly, she runs on time.

This is not one of those salons where you make an appointment and the stylist is working on 3 different people at once. I started going here when I used to live in Jersey City, but even after moving to Brooklyn, it's still worth the trip back to get my hair done.

I have been looking for a new salon for my natural hair since moving to New Jersey. I've finally found the perfect location. Phyllis is wonderful! She took the time to learn about my hair struggles and delivered quality service while going above and beyond to ensure I'm truly satisfied. Returning client for sure!

I started coming to N-Joyable hair studio 6 months ago and my hair is flourishing! When I first came in my hair was dry, brittle and didn't take well to anything you put in it. I was fortunate to come across N-Joyable Hair Studio while googling for natural hair stylist in JC. My first visit was that week and I was not disappointed. Ms. Phyllis welcomed me and my daughters, listened to our issues, examined our hair and came up with a plan to get the results we desired. Weeks later our hair is still manageable and looking good. I will gladly listen to Ms. Phyllis's hair advice and continue go back for maintenance.

As a first timer at N-joyable hair salon, Phyllis made me feel like I had been a client for years! Her warm and welcoming presence made me feel completely relaxed and comfortable. The work she did on my hair was outstanding! Today is day and my hair is still full of body, bounce and shine! Not only does my hair look and feel A-ma-zing, but Phyllis also took the time to educate me about how to care for and maintain my hair.

I have been searching high and low for a professional in the Hudson County area to do my hair! I am sooo very thankful to have found Phyllis! Looking forward to my next visit!

N-joyable is just that! I went to this hair salon today for the girst time and it will definitely not be the last time! The atmosphere is super-relaxed and welcoming and Monique did a fantastic job on my very long and dry hair! It's a live again! And the blowout looks amazing! Thank you so much - I'll be back!

They ruined my expensive jumpsuit with bleach. Of course, no one willing to take responsibility for it. What else can I write about the studio where employees do not wash covers after previous customers?

Very happy with the results, Phyllis gave me the professional look I wanted. All I told her when she asked me what I wanted was for her to make look good for work. She cut my hair to compliment my face and gave me detailed instructions on how to maintain the style. It cost more than I anticipated but I'll be back after I save up.

I've come here twice with Tay and she is awesome! Got relaxer and blow out - hair looks great.

Dirty salon. Messy floor, unkempt items, stuff in the drain, bad lighting. Felt very neglected and like it wouldnt pass an inspection. I should have walked out but felt rude. The hair dresser was SLOW. I was there for 90 + minutes just getting a trim and blow-dry and she kept stoping to talk to people. I was in a rush by the hour mark (my hair still wet) and let her know.

The hair cut was UNEVEN and I had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. The atrocious cut wasn't even the worst part about this place. The hygiene and service were childlike. The owner was disciplining her daughter uncomfortably in front of the 2 customers they had AND talking down to her employees. Everyone seemed unclear on that this is a business and not a social gathering. Did I mention how disgustingly dirty it was? DIRTY. Don't go here.

Phyllis is fantastic and keeps my hair looking good. It is nice to have a salon in the neighborhood with so many friendly faces. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a good home for your hair.
