Services
The Salon Professional Academy is accredited by Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). As an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, ACCSC has continually demonstrated that it is a valid and reliable authority on the assessment of education quality.
Financial Aid is available for qualified students through the U.S. Department of Education. The U.S. Department of Education provides grants and loans to eligible students attending participating colleges or career schools. We can provide you with more information on how our financial aid will work for your specific status.
The Salon Professional Academy sponsors a quarterly scholarship for $100.00. In order to be eligible to apply for this scholarship, interested students must be five percent above Satisfactory Academic Progress for their program. Cosmetology 1800 and 1884, and Esthetics students must have a 90% grade average and 90% attendance at their most recent checkpoint.
As a licensed nail technician or cosmetologist, manicures and pedicures will be a large part of the services provided, upon hire. Excellent Customer service is required. An understanding of sanitation, disinfection and sterilization is a must. This is a part time position, starting at 12-20 hours, and will require some evenings and Saturdays.

The students providing the services are great, and seem very excited to learn and gain experience. People are prompt and it is easy to get an appointment last minute! The areas where services are provided seem dirty and almost medical looking. There are stains on the curtains and the tools seem old/ outdated or just over used. hope these will be modernized/ updated at some point!

My friend went here to get her hair done for her graduation party, and let me tell you I don't like to be rude. But if I'm spending over $100 to get my hair done the way I want it. And it doesn't get done the way I showed you I would not be happy. So she went and got her hair done and it cost over $100, she came out with the same color hair does she came in with.
She sent me a picture of her hair and it was like blonder than blonde and then all of a sudden it was right back to where it was, no highlights no nothing that she wanted. I would not recommend here if you have a preference of what your hair wants to look like.

The Salon Professional Academy has unbeatable prices, fun and friendly teachers, and they use RedKen hair products! The facility is bright, very modern looking, and clean. Cierra was very welcoming, funny, and encouraging. And, she cut my hair like a pro! Thank you so much for a great visit, Cierra!

Trina B was attentive and communicative. She even looked for advice when she wasn't sure how to repeat a technique a teacher showed her to make sure she got it right. She asked me how I thought things looked and made sure I was happy with the cut, eyebrow wax and pedicure. She will be great come October when she graduates.

I experienced a friendly check in for my appointment A tidy clean and warm atmosphere I was asked if I needed help while browsing products as I was waiting for my service i was offered popcorn My student stylist Brooke reached out to me in a friendly manner I was impressed with the all round professionalism she followed up on sanitation cleaned the sink after my shampoo used a neck strip also cared about my comfort and payed close attention to the look I was going for before starting my haircut I was happy with my haircut and style she did a great job! Honestly I was very impressed with Brooke and because I had such a positive first time experience I will be returning for more services!

Kayley did an incredible job. She is amazing and I will keep coming back to her. From my original chemical peel a few weeks ago, to the acne clearing facial I got yesterday, she's incredible. I felt like I was walking on a cloud after my appointment! She answered all my questions and is such a sweet tech. She will be amazing when she graduates! I even scheduled a body wrap immediately after and have a facial again in a month, FANTASTIC!
Great place! UPDATE: I got my hair done yesterday by Jordan and he is FANTASTIC! I had no idea what I wanted for my hair but I ended up with a balayage with cooler tones (whatever that means lol)! He really is incredible and I will be coming back a million times over! My appointment was long due to my "thicker" hair (I suppose I'm not going bald anytime soon), but he had great banter/conversation that made the time go by fast! I just curled it today, and it's probably the first time I've actually LOVED my hair! Ugh so happy! Before and after pics posted! :))))))

I use to live here in La Crosse, WI. I moved 3 yrs ago and that is the last time my hair was done. I made an appt and it was with Lo. I am Mexican American so it's hard to to find someone who can cut ethnic hair. I told her a general way. And I just trust her with my hair after talking a bit about it. She went beyond on what I expected my hair to be done.
I have these front side gray hair that's coming in kinda cool. I wanted to show that off. She nailed it on exactly how I wanted my hair. I believe she took off 4 1/2 to 5 inches of my hair. I live 3 hours away and would come back for her to do my hair again for me. I use have super curly hair but lost it as I aged. I would definitely come back for her to do a perm for me. The teachers and her classmates were super nice as well. People in La Crosse, WI area should make an appt with her especially people who are ethnic. She did a great job!
