Heartbroken. Not accepting new clients. I live here and I can't get a haircut anywhere. Is this COVID or just Taos?

Delta the owner & stylist is phenomenal. She's extremely knowledgeable & helpful. She also has a great product set. I felt 'beautiful' when I left the shop.

I am in the midst of growing out what once was a pixie hair cut. Brooke was amazing! I definitely do not look like a "grow out" at all! Brooke took the time to review everything - where I was, where I think I might be going, bang trends, cowlicks; all of it. The cut looks great and I will definitely be taking advantage of a free bang trim as I continue to build length over the next couple months. Thank you, Brooke!

I have super thin, mousy, graying hair and when Delta does her magic on my mop I leave Salon X with a spring in my step and full head of thick (looking), wavy locks. My friends are all amazed at how gracefully I am "naturally" graying. The salon is sparking clean, Delta is always on time and she collaborates her expertise with my needs and ideas into a practical and sassy hairstyle every time.

Brooke is great with curl. Managed to cut to exactly what I was trying for. She listens and is collaborative but also has great intuition. The salon feels covid safe and easy to reserve a spot. Reasonable prices and gender neutral cut options. Local gem.

As so many "upscale" shops are haughty and intimidating to older patrons, I always hesitate to go. I felt welcome at Salon X! I liked Delta and her work very much. I came into the shop in a "crisis mode" and she did a great job. I'm very happy with the results of my cut! Thanks, Delta!

I had a terrible experience at another hair salon and Salon X made everything perfect again. The aroma of professionalism just hit me in the face when I first walked through the door. The atmosphere is very relaxing, calm and friendly I left a very happy lady with my new hair colour and style. Tiana was very professional and consulted with the owner Delta regarding my colouring. Salon X is thee place to go.

Brooke is outstanding! I sent my Mom, sister in law and bridesmaid into her and WOW. My mom is very picky about her hair and even she was stunned with how beautiful Brooke styled it. Thank you for not only being the sweetest person but also being an amazingly talented hair stylist.

I was dissatisfied with the service at this salon. There were dye stains left on my forehead, neck and back. The color is so strange looking it will have to be redone. An update; the owner called me and offered to make everything right or refund the amount charged. She explained what happened and was very courteous.

Delta is very knowledgeable and professional. Today Brooke colored and cut my hair. She did a wonderful job and I was impressed with her attention to detail.

My hair was done by Suzanne and before I even left the salon I was getting complements from others clients in the salon. It was great, I received complements the whole day on my hair! Even my husband loves it and kept commenting on it! Having sat with her has been my best experience since I was a young girl! I went to get a men's hair cut and was extremely pleased. Michael, who cut my hair, is a licensed barber and jr. hair stylist. He washed and conditioned my hair including a scalp massage. He listened very carefully to how I wanted my long hair to be cut, and was very meticulous in cutting my hair. I know this sounds a bit over the top, but of all the haircuts I've gotten over the years and all over the country, Michael is the winner!

Jessica Boudreau, Esthetician, is a miracle worker! I just received a manicure and spa pedicure that were wonderful. She transformed my hands from rough and unsightly to smooth and polished. She did the same with my feet and toes. Have my next appointment already booked!

I love my appointments with Salon X! Tianna is fantastic, she really takes her time and pays attention to details. She's fun and it is an enjoyable couple of hours. The Salon itself is beautifully designed, relaxing and professional. It has an urban feel which is so nice in our small town! I always love my hair when I leave - wish I could make it look as good as she does!

Highly recommend Christine at Salon X. I didn't get my hair styled so this review is only for a color touch up. The first time I went to Christine the color didn't quite stick, and so on the second visit Christine had figured out what to do to make sure the color adhered properly and charged accordingly for the fix without my having to ask.

I have curly/kinky hair, and the salon doesn't carry Devachan products so I brought my own, which Christine was more than open to using. I appreciated her willingness to listen to what my hair needed. And while I didn't have Christine style my hair, I'm sure if I did she would be just as open and just as skilled at styling.

I spent a day in Taos and decided to make an impromptu pedicure appointment. After being turned away by a few others (completely) booked, I was able to get an appointment at Salon X with Jessica! I got there early so the receptionist offered coffee+tea and a comfortable couch to relax in until Jessica was ready. While waiting, the receptionist was friendly and accommodating. Jessica prepared a lovely hot soak for my feet that included peppermint, tea tree, and lavender oil and I got a good long soak in. Jessica was friendly and caring with my feet!

She is very knowledgeable about skin care and her passion for body care really shows. I appreciated how friendly and easy to talk to Jessica was; she even recommended some little known Taos sights for me to check out! This salon is very sleek while also having some small town feel. A lot of the other customers seemed to be regulars and all of the stylists were kind and quite competent. I'd definitely recommend this salon for anyone going through Taos and wanting to be pampered!

I was looking for an impromptu hair cut on a ski weekend in Taos and called this salon. The owner of the salon, Delta, performed a great job on my layered cut. She was courteous and professional and checked in with me on the style/length several times during the cut. Even though I was initially a little wary due to the only review on yelp, I'm glad I took a chance and walked away refreshed with a great new look. Her prices are reasonable for a high quality cut and I would highly recommend her if you're in town and looking for a new style.

I love Delta at Salon X! Her no nonsense approach is easy and appreciated! She does wonderful color and I love her cuts! I've seen her cut long hair and short hair and she rocks at both! Salon X has been voted best of Taos for many years running.and now they have a wonderful nail and skin aesthetician.making them full service. Vans the ambience of the salon is awesome! Check them out!
