Fact 1: I have wavy hair. The kind that hairdressers always want me to tame with heat tools and sprays. It is too wavy to stay straight and too straight to just dry curly in a reliable manner. Fact 2: I got a haircut at Paizleys and that + following a few cleaning care recommendations and a couple products and I am washing a lot less often and my hair just dries naturally and looks perfectly fine in its mostly natural state every single day. Every. Single. Day. I wake up to a nice, fun, wavy bob, with minimal effort. Worth the price.

I stumbled across this particular curly hair salon on Yelp I decided to check out their website for online details on pricing, what-not you can see info on the specialist who are available. I checked IG for photos on Mrs. Jenn information that was available on website liked her work and sent her a text and from there we booked. I highly do recommend a curly cut Jenn nailed it I love the final look. Included dry cut, cleanse and condition She used a hair primer styled it and sat me under the hair dryer also gave me information on how to keep up with maintenence and hair products.

Jennbetty always does an amazing job. I've been seeing her for a few years now and every time I go to see her she works magic with my hair. I used to have frizzy hair with some wave and slight borderline curls on a few random strands. I've never been happy with my hair until I started coming to see her. With the right haircut and product I now have luscious waves. She has great product recommendations and walks you through how to use it. Definitely go see her!

Rose is amazing! She has cut my hair for 3 years and does such a wonderful job. She is really accommodating and always makes adjustments if they are needed so my cut is exactly how I want it. She has fully saved my hair from the absolute hackjob I did during the pandemic. She also trims my bangs free of charge so I don't have to pay for a whole new haircut as soon as my hair starts getting in my eyes. I highly recommend her for a curly cut!

Well. I just got my hair cut by Jenn. I am so disappointed with the cut and the service. She took her time to recommend that I get it cut shorter and also suggested that layers will make my fine hair look fuller, which was nice. I gave her the OK but for whatever reason she just basically trimmed the ends a little.no layers. She took less than 5 mins to do that, shampoo, wash, dry a little styling product and I was out the door in less than 30 minutes.

I don't feel she gave me her time or attention.maybe she just was busy with her other client or wanted to go home early. The haircut and style is less than mediocre.maybe it looks 5% better than what I can do at home and certainly does not look like I what spent on it. Will not return ever

To think that my life, Had just gone by. Without a curly hair specialist, By my side. I didn't realize what I was missing, Until I came here. Because that's when I knew, That I had to hold their contact info dear. My hair was done by Jenn Betty, Who treated each lock with care. To go against her judgement? Nah, I wouldn't dare. From cutting my dead ends, To adding in bangs and layers. My wavy hair curled, Everything was a game changer! I came in to this place, Someone who was nervous and lost. Out I went, Feeling like a total boss;

Had a great experience with Jenn! I drove 1.5 to get there from Monterey. She understood what I wanted and actually styled the way I like. My reasons for the 4 stars is price (she told me what it would cost before, but it's still super expensive for me - $300 for deva cut and color), and the hair wash basin was super uncomfortable on my neck.there has to be a better way! Haha Overall good

Worst EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I asked Maria to cut and tint my hair which amounted out to $230. She ended up refunding me for the tint since it came out after one wash. I specifically asked her to cut my hair no shorter than my shoulder length. By the time the cut was finished it was so short I wanted to cry. This was in May. My hair is now to my shoulders and is it October. This is an everyday struggle I have to live with and now I have to spend additional expenses to buy extensions because she did what she wanted not what I asked for.

I have gotten haircuts and dye jobs for over ten years now in San Jose, NYC, and Philadelphia--but I have never had a more positive experience than I had with Jenn Betty! Jenn is an excellent hair stylist -- professional and truly an expert in her craft. The first thing that stood out to me in my experience is how seriously Jenn takes the consultation.

She is clear and direct about what is possible for your hair, based on your budget and hair goals. I told her I wanted to grow my hair out, so she advised me not to overdo it with hair color (i.e. bleaching my hair) and suggested a beautiful, soft brown highlight that blended in perfectly with my hair. My DevaCut frames my face perfectly, with a light fringe, just the way I envisioned it!

The second thing that stood out to me in my experience is Jenn's efficiency and professionalism. She has great conversation but really makes sure you don't end up in the salon longer than necessary. I really appreciated the way she staggered other clients. Jenn Betty is a GEM in San Jose! If you have curly hair needs (cut or color), I would not recommend anyone else.

Rose has been doing my hair for almost 10 years, she makes me look amazing! Very good with any type of hair, but especially curly.

I recently started embracing my naturally curly hair, and was long overdue for a cut. My hair was past my shoulders, with some dry and damaged ends, and felt weighed down. I made an appointment with Jenn which was super easy and convenient to do through text. When I arrived for my appointment, she was so sweet and I felt comfortable instantly. I explained to her that I wanted to get rid of the dead ends, and add some volume by layering, but not to make my thin hair look sparse as layering can sometimes do.

She listened to all of my concerns and explained back to me exactly what she was going to do to achieve the look I wanted. Jenn did the dry hair Deva cut, and even though that was scary for a moment, after she washed, dryed, and applied styling product, my hair looked amazing! It was fun, bouncy, and FULL looking. Today is day 2 and it is still virtually perfect. I got a ton of compliments at work today about my hair! I'm so glad I found Jenn at Paizleys and I'll definitely be back for my curly hair maintenance.

I went for a haircut after a really long because I was waiting to get vaccinated. It was easy to get an appointment which was my favorite part because it was hassle-free. Maria was really friendly and was very mindful of my likes and dislikes. She cut my hair only after confirming the exact length that I wanted, answered all my questions and told me how to take care of curly hair.

She was also taking good Covid precautions. The only downside was the high price for devacut (but I saw that it is still less than some other places that offer deva cut) and we couldn't dry my hair since using drier was stopped due to Covid (just fyi). Other than that, it was a great experience!

I am brown skin with 4C natural kinky/curly hair. I went to Maria Hernandez because my hair dresser at a different salon was booked. Maria handled my hair with care, expertise and my highlights came out AMAZING! I recommend Maria to all Naturals out there who struggle to find a good hair dresser in Silicon Valley who can handle and who is not afraid of 4C hair! Thank you Maria!

Finally found a good curly hairdresser in the South bay! I did a Deva haircut when I visited the salon. Maria was super helpful, quick and gave me some tips to fight frizz, products to use etc. The only downside is the price but I am definitely satisfied with the haircut. Would recommend this salon to my curly friends out there.

Classic What I Asked for VS. What I got While I do like this salon I was upset with my results because it was just a disregard for what I asked for. I think that my stylist, Maria, did not want to tell me she did not know how to do pintura highlights. For curly girls there is a certain painting method, called pintura, which stylists use for coloring curls.

This method reduces damage of bleach and makes it so the hair doesn't look as frizzy and dry. Curly girls if you ask for pintura I would advise you see a picture of the colorist's work. I know this should be common knowledge by now but still I did not expect a Deva curl certified stylist to go this rogue! When I asked Maria to do the lightening I told her I wanted to keep a darker top look but just add some dimension and partial lightening.

I did not say I wanted a fully head of highlights. I showed her the pictures below as my inspiration and in the end I became a blonde. I freaked out when she showed me. Maria was nice enough to tone it down but once your blonde there is really no going back. While I do think is looks good, when styled, I am afraid of the future damage and most of all it was not what I asked for!

Okay finding someone to do a Devacut for a good price and knows what they are doing is HARD! So when I was in Fresno for business I decided to give it one last shot and man did I walk out of their happy. That was 3 months ago and I'm still happy with it! Now I'll only be going to Paizley for my haircuts! I'll be back for business in December and I look forward to my cut!

I had Maria cut my hair a week ago. I came in with pictures having had deva cuts before. I had expectations. My first clue that everything was not alright came during the shower. Normally stylists will ask if the temperature is ok. When your hair is obviously dyed like mine is they ask if you want the water cold. Maria just put me under hot water.

We had already discussed my dyed hair. After I came out of the dryer I noticed the hair framing my face was uneven. She fixed that and took off the cloche. It was the opposite of what I asked for. I wanted my hair layered near my face and not by my neck. My hair was lying limply around my face and proofing out at my neck. She recut it so it was better which is why I'm giving her 3 stars. Update: I had bought an arc angel gel when I got my hair cut.

The bottle was of an old design. When I wrote this I had not yet yes it. When I opened it up I noticed it was a lot more watery than what I'm used to. It was so expensive I suffered through and just used it though half of it ended up sloshing out of my hand. I just needed to buy my conditioner again so I ordered the gel as well. The color of the new one is 3-4 shades darker. I have never added water to it. I'm lowering my score now that I see what a scam this place really is.

Jen was fantastic at showing me how to work with my hair, especially given that I have several different textures all around my scalp. After my hair transformation, I can finally say that I feel amazing wearing my natural hair.

Got an amazing cut from Maria who is a level 3 Deva stylist who really worked with my schedule and was very sweet and knowledgeable when it comes to the curly girl method. What I loved actually was that she didn't try to push any products on me and just let them speak for them selves. She taught be how to better take care of my wavy curls so they come out more and got rid of a lot of my damaged hair. Im very grateful and will be returning for sure

I've been going to Jenn for some time now. My first appointment was maybe about a year ago while searching on the deva curl website. I was tired of getting bad haircuts (my curls always looking heavy and dragged down). Initially my hair was long and heavy. I've always had a lot of hair so having it long just made it heavier for me. Jenn has changed my life!

After a couple cuts I decided to add color and I'm satisfied with how healthy my hair still feels. My hair doesn't feel fried even though we've been going lighter! I can now wear my hair out with nothing in it and not feel like the lion king the moment it's dry. Here are some pictures of how she's transformed me. I get a deva inspired cut from Jenn Betty a few weeks ago. Although the shape wasn't exactly what I wanted the cut was one of the best deva cuts I've ever gotten. She took the time to hand curl each of my curls and work the product from top to bottom and I have a LOT of hair. Weeks later I can still see a clear reduction on frizz and much better definition.

I've never truly loved my natural curls until I got a DevaCut from Maria at Paizleys. If you have naturally curly hair, you can trust that you'll never want to straighten it again after you get cut and styled here.

I found Jenn through the DevaCurl website by looking for a stylist. I then looked through her Instagram to see the before and after of many curly haired girls who looked amazing! I made the appt and from there the experience was truly enjoyable. Jenn transformed my hair and got me the bangs I wanted. She is now my go-to curly stylist who I trust with my hair. I've been going to see Jenn for awhile. She is great with color and super fabulous at cutting and styling curly hair. Many times I leave other salons looking like I stuck my finger in a socket or after one hour my hair is going crazy but never with Jenn! She is so great at styling that I can sleep on it and wake up and go the next day, just like that! Also, the third day I gently wet it and still it looks great so I wear her style for 3 days!

It awesome! I would definitely trust her to style me for a photo shoot and a special occasion as I have in the past. Finally, she is really professional and I can easily get an appointment every time with a simple text. Love that! Thanks Jenn!
