Salon Truth

Stopped in one day to ask if their logo was a cross and if the salon was faith-based. The receptionist didn't know so I asked to see the owner, who just happened to be there. It was almost as if she was hiding from me or scared or something. It was just a bad experience. I won't go back.

I have had some really bad hair cuts in the past and I have a hard time trusting stylists because of it. I put myself at Courtney's mercy and she did not disappoint, my hair hasn't looked this good in years! Services: Haircut, Balayage

So I loved my service here. My stylist did a great job with my hair. However, I am extremely upset. I purchased product and found out they do not do returns. They will do an exchange. Well, if I exchange and the product still does not work for my hair, I am stuck with high priced products I cannot use. As much I loved my hair cut, I will be eve back.

Just ok. I was not offered any of the little rituals I have come to expect from other Aveda salons, the hand massage, essential oils, Etc. I've been twice and both times I had an adequate haircut if you consider adequate having to trim long stragglers at home, and neither time did she cut my shoulder length bob as short as I had asked, only taking about an inch off when I hit asked for two.

Tracy did an excellent job cutting and styling my hair. She did exactly what I asked her to do and gave me instructions on how to style it myself.

Made an appointment for two weeks out. Got a call that the stylist doesn't work that late on that date. Not sure why they scheduled me then. Then wanted to push it out another week. Both receptionists I spoke with were rude and not helpful and seemed as though I was bothering them. Looking for an Aveda salon that has nice people and professional people. Will not give this place any of my money. And I'm new to the area so I was hoping this would be a good place. Proved me wrong before I walked into the salon!

This Solon is great! Not only is the owner wonderful and customer service driven, the other hair stylists are sweet and knowledgeable. It's a relaxing atmosphere with great prices. I'll keep coming back.

Courtney at Salon Truth is my favorite! I've been getting my hair cut by her for years because not only does she do a great job, but it's also fun to talk with her. The shampoo and head massage is wonderful, then we talk and laugh, and she always fixes my hair in new ways I'd like to try. How fun to get to bring my daughter to Courtney now too. I had a few haircuts from here and they were OK just pricey. I mainly came here to restock my aveda favorites. I figured it would be cheaper to buy the products myself so my bathroom smells like an aveda salon. I purchased a lip glaze and when I opened it it was very obviously used. I think it might have been the tester. It had lip product on the top and it had things stuck to the outside of the tube.

It just looked like a lip product that had been sitting in a purse or the tester. I should have know better bc the lip glaze normally comes in a box. And she just handed me the tube. So I drove back to the store and told the lady at the desk that it looked like the product had been used. She looked at it and said "it doesn't look used". She ended up giving me a new one (in a box).

I think they accidentally sold me a tester. All they had to do was say sorry. But the lady made me feel like I was a liar or crazy. This place is pretty nice, even for dudes. Very hard to find a place that makes guys feel comfortable about coming to a salon. With the so many barber shops now in this town, I was going to each barbershop to find the right one. My buddy was telling me how awesome the girls were at this salon and how great the haircuts are with a good price. Again, Ieery of salons being to girlie, but this place was very chill.

The hostess was nice and the lady that cut my hair Mollye was great. Mollye cut my hair how I would like it without trying to use to much artistic styling. Very nice to just get a guys haircut without having a stylist cut it towards the latest trends. I was easily in and out of there with a great price, which amazing compared to other salons. This is a salon I will definitely be going back to for nice and easy haircut

I just moved here from Colorado and the stylists at Salon Truth helped me soooo much. I got a bad cut at a place I just walked into here in town last week. I should have honestly gone as garth from waynes world for halloween it was so bad. Tasha and Courtney made me feel amazing and that this could be fixed and be awesome. My cut was straight up busted and I just got a complement on my hair from a new coworker who asked where I went. As far as I'm concerned that's worth $40 and then some. Will definetly go back!

I've been going to Salon Truth for several years and I love it! Courtney is a very talented stylist and colorist. She listens and will make suggestions if you desire. The salon is relaxed and fun. Everyone is welcoming, kind and true professionals. I always leave happy after Courtney has worked her magic and I would not go anywhere else in the Springfield area!

I have gone to Courtney at Salon Truth for years, and my mom also goes to her as well. I couldn't say enough nice things about Courtney. She is not only a pleasure to be around while getting your hair done, but she also listens to what you want and does a great job with the color. I moved about a year ago to Chicago, and after trying a few places here and not loving them, I just make sure and go see Courtney every time I'm back in Springfield. I would definitely recommend.

This is the first salon that I have been to that has made me willing to pay for quality. My first time to go there was for an updo when I was a bridesmaid. My hair is completely straight and never holds a curl, but I was shocked that the stylist was able to make my hair stay in graceful curls on top of my head for an entire day with only a few bobby pins and no hairspray!

I went there for a regular haircut, and for the first time in my life actually LOVED my haircut. The next time I went there was after living abroad for over a year, and my stylist, Sarah, actually remembered me! One thing I really appreciate about the place is that they use Aveda products that are mostly organic, and everything smells really good--no harsh chemical smells. I also think the stylists there are the perfect balance of friendly and not snobby without being annoyingly chatty like some chain salon stylists.

I have been to salon truth twice and I had different stylists each time. My reaction to my hair after having it cut by Whitney was amazing. She fixed my hair in no time and styled it really cutely afterwards. If you go, ask for her. My second time I had a different stylist and it didn't seem like she did anything to it. It wasn't messed up or anything but it was just odd to pay 40 dollars for the same hair cut I walked in with. In summary, they are over-priced, they stylists only talk to each other, and I have only had awkward experiences there.

I went to visit my regular stylist for a last minute cut and he was booked. Salon Truth was just around the corner so I stopped by. I was very surprised and excited when the girl said she could get me in. However, I was not very excitied after the cut. It was not the worst cut I have had, (I had one somewhere else that was REALLY bad) but I would not return. Stylist was not too friendly either.
