Sun-Tana

I'm writing this review under a different name because I am a frequent customer and do not want to be treated differently by staff after posting this honest review. I have been tanning at Suntana since 2011 and have recommended them to many of my friends and family over that time. I'm genuinely surprised at the amount of recent positive reviews because it seems my experience has been anything but what others have posted.

Within the last few months, they have had a lot of turn over it seems within the salon and have brought in many new girls who don't seem to care to keep up with the cleanliness of the salon nor do they seem to care about being knowledgeable about the products they carry. I used to be greeted ecstatically when coming into the salon, the girls were always eager to answer my questions about packages or products that would be best for me without acting annoyed or being met with a whole lot of "uhhh's" and "I'm not sure's" or being recommended the complete opposite of what I've asked for with a no return policy on pricey lotions.

This salon USED to be the best in Topeka when it came to staff, cleanliness and product now I would consider it a last resort since it's one of the last standing in the city. The bulbs seem to rarely be changed, the carpet is sticky, the walls are coated in lotion and most of the staff would rather sit on their phones then help the customers. I've come in later in the evening one night and back the next day around lunch, was put in the same bed as the previous night and the top of the bed hadn't been cleaned at all in that time frame.

I know staffing businesses has been hard since COVID but a few of the girls working here make it super uncomfortable to even step foot in the salon with their unpleasant attitudes, especially after a long day of work, and I've never felt this way over the 10 year span I've been coming in up until recently.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beds and store are always clean. Great sales on lotions and other products. Very satisfied customer.

The ladies there are always very nice and helpful.even when you show up 5 minutes before close!

I had moved out of State for quite some time. I was still in the system. The gals at the front desk were very friendly. Let the tanning begin!

The staff is very promt, polite and friendly. They have a great choice of tanning need and you never have to wait long for a bed even during their peak times.

The ladies there explained everything to me and were so helpful and very professional. I was impressed. Someone needs to tell them they do a top notch job.

Friendly staff. Beds are always clean. I love that their hours allow me to fit in a session either before or after work.

Great place to work on a tan. As with many businesses, some employees shine more than others. Of course, some employees are likely more seasoned than others. Their beds seem well maintained and the entire shop is clean and organized.

Paid $35 and I couldn't even hear the voice in the spray tan machine, or hear how to turn my body with how it should spray. I wish the woman that was working had led me step by step more thoroughly. Regardless, the machines need to be up to date. The woman could have 110% showed me rather than just let me be.? Like update your spray tan machines, please.

One of the cleanest tanning salons in town and the girls are nice. However some staff members aren't very knowledgeable so management will need to properly train, they could also do well to work on their multi tasking. There are enough beds so there is never a wait. This establishment has been voted best in Topeka many times, however their nose is so stuck up in the sky they forget to appreciate the customers that got them there. I've been attending for over a decade and still the only discount they give are student discounts and it never changes.

I only tan in the spring to get a little color. The girl I worked with was so patient and kind. She helped me pick out a package that was perfect for my situation. The room and bed were very clean. I recommend going to Suntana when you feel like getting your tan on! I also got 25% off of my lotion for buying a package. If you haven't tried the open sun, I will let you know it is amazing!

You see color right away to jump start your tan then regular beds to build your base. It is a very comfortable and relaxing bed as well. I turn on the tropical music and pretend I am on vacation for 12 minutes!
