Busy place. Call first and make an appointment! Skyler did a nice job cutting my hair. It was my first time there and she was attentive to what I was looking to have done.

It was ok. The price was great for what I had done, but what I wanted and what I got were 2 totally different things. I have learned not to "cheat" on my regular hair dresser ever again.

I spoke with Kristina 2/9 about booking bridal hair services for my wedding in August. Kristina told me as the salon was short staffed she would need to check with another stylist on availability but that worst case she would be able to do the services herself. Understanding the short staffing and that it may take a little longer, I waited a week to hear back.

I called today to check in and Kristina not only didn't recall any of the details we had discussed but then went on to say said they had booked other weddings in the interim for that date and couldn't accommodate me. The lack of professionalism and coordination from this salon is shocking. I would advise future brides to look elsewhere, or risk not having hair services on your wedding day if you go with Kristina and Starz.

Kristina was friendly, worked with me to get my hair done perfectly and answered all my questions.

This was my first visit to this hair studio and I was impressed all around. I was pleasantly greeted upon arrival and Safa was right on time. I needed advice on blending color to help with greying hair. She was a miracle worker! I had no idea of what I really wanted but Safa confidently performed her magic and I was so happy with the results. THANK YOU!

Oh my gosh, I am in love with this place; Safa Hamdan is a hair fairy. I would recommend her and this place to anyone who is looking for quality hair care.

This Place is amazing The customer service and How quickly you get in. The women are wonderful there. Its clean and very welcoming and I am getting ready to make another appointment I want my hair dark chocolate brown I love that color. After 40 plus years with the same hairdresser, moving out of state forced the change. Reviewed Starz due to friend and booked with Jen due to her Bio with extensive color experience and could not be happier. She was attentive and asked all the right questions and explained why she used a certain color product, and the results confirmed she knows her craft. Could not be happier, next appointment already booked. Hair feels great and color is fabulous

Wow - I have been here quite a few times and keep coming back even though I am 35 min down the road. Safa is awesome! Today, in the middle of the coronavirus mess I was greeted at the door with a bottle of hand sanitizer. Everything was being thoroughly washed down between clients and I so appreciate the effort to stay open while keeping everyone safe as possible. Great job Stars.

Recently relocated to Maine and out of all of the moves we do as a military family, I have to say that the most stressful part for me is, finding new personal care spots such as a hair salon. As someone who has had a vet horrible hair cut experience, I dread trying to find the one to take a chance on and willingly go months or years waiting to find the right one.

I took that chance with Starz and didn't ask for anyone in particular but I just so happen to get placed with the perfect stylist, Chrystal! She listened and gave me the exact cut I was looking for. She's so sweet and personable and great to chat with. Before you know it, your are in and out. The price is a little high for a cut ($45), but I will gladly pay it again and again knowing I won't walk out looking like a butchered sheep dog. I highly recommend Chrystal for your hair needs.

I was in town visiting family for the week and I decided to get my hair cut. It's always hard to find a good stylist, especially when you don't know the area, but this time I lucked out! I learned about Starz from looking up places online and booked an appointment. The studio is lovely and so are the stylists. My stylist, Chrystal, did an amazing job on my hair.

I wasn't sure what I wanted for a style so she and I talked over what she thought would look best. I'm really happy with my haircut and if I ever need a haircut again while I'm in Maine, I'll be making an appointment with her. Thanks Chrystal! - Gabriela

Sofia did a great job on my hair. She was patient and listened to what I wanted. She took her time and made me feel like I was her only priority! My hair is very fine and very hard to work with. She didn't get frustrated and she adjusted to my hair. Very hard to blend my hair but she did it perfectly!

I am from out-of-town, and needed an extensive color correction to my hair. Jennifer Watson was INCREDIBLE. She brought my light auburn mottled hair to a beautiful platinum/ash blond, and put Pravana purple in my hair. She uses a variety of products and kept me informed every step of the way. I love how my hair turned out! Plus, the shop is clean and a warm environment where are the stylists are kind and have a great sense of camaraderie. I can't wait for my next appointment with Jen!

Even though Starz isn't my regular hair salon I had a $50 gift card so I decided because I needed a hair cut that I would want to use it. So I asked the women to do the type of cut that I ALWAYS get done at my other salon. I just wanted a trim on my long layers and then an inch cut from the bottom (wanting the the long layers to blend evenly with the rest of my hair).

Nothing too drastic. To make a long story short, she cut my layers WAY too short, even though I just asked for a trim on my LONG layers, so now they don't blend evenly with the rest of my hair making it hard to work with and making it look way too similar to choppy bangs. My mom ended up having to cut the bottom portion of my hair with kitchen scissors in order for it to look somewhat more even with the really short layers.

For $50, I am very disappointed, and now I have to spend even more money in order to try and get it evened out at my regular hair salon. I have read other reviews saying that the stylists don't listen to their clients, and after this experience I have to agree 100%.

Just went to Starz for the first time yesterday. My daughter had an appointment with Shauna for a body wave perm for her birthday. Shauna did an OUTSTANDING job. Her hair looks great and best of all my daughter loves it! Shauna was also very patient, talkative and my 13 year old was very comfortable with her. Highly recommended will definitely go back and send referrals. The atmosphere was clean comfortable and very nicely decorated! A++

Abigail keeps me looking like I didn't get run over by a truck. I like that they offer organic hair coloring, so my scalp stays healthy and my color stays looking vibrant.

I think that it really depends on the stylist, but I've always had good luck with Jenn. My haircuts and highlights from her have never made me look like a middle-aged woman!

This place really is so-so. I have been here before about a year ago and I had a really good experience. For some reason this time it was bad. I went in to just have a darker color done because I had went to red a few weeks ago. Though I didn't have an appointment they took me right away (mostly because the person mistook me for someone else with the same name).

After the person put the color on she just left with out really telling anyone else anything. So I ended up being almost forgotten about. Though it wasn't really the big of a deal to me, I would have rather waited for someone else that would have had the time to do it all or just been told that they couldn't. I am hoping that it was just this one time and if I ever decide to go back things will be different.

This place is so-so. They did an okay job waxing my eyebrows, but it wasn't quite what I wanted. Same goes for the haircut. I told her what I wanted, but then I kind of ended up looking like a middle-aged woman. There have got to be better salons in Brunswick.

The shop is in a charming building and is large and stylish. They offer fresh coffee in the cozy waiting area, which is a nice touch.
