Steph is absolutely amazing! My first time seeing her I had the best facial ever! Today I got my eyebrows done with henna and I'm blown away by the results. Natalie answered all of my questions! She was excellent and I look forward to the appointments I have made with her. I also appreciated how when I arrived, I was instantly greeted, shown around, and had products offered in the front explained to me by the girl working the front desk(I apologize, I forget her name), but she was so friendly and helpful.
I already made 3 bookings, two in relations with my hair that I'll be seeing Natalie for, and one with Stephanie(who also introduced herself during my visit) to have a facial done. I look forward to continuing my needs with this establishment!

Natalie is always so creative and never disappoints. I have been going to her for over 15 years and she never ceases to amaze me. She is an expert at her craft and has helped me numerous time with guidance when I need to complete my plan for hair cuts, coloring and styling for events. Aurelio Salon is a top-notch salon with a very professional feel.

I had Samantha color and cut my hair. She did exactly what I asked for and my hair came out better than I even imagined. Samantha and all the staff were professional and polite and were able to get me a last minute appointment before the holiday break. The cost was much lower than expected, as well, which is always a plus. This is the place to go!

Got first ever DevaCurl cut with Natalie for myself and my daughter. It was the first time I've ever left a salon in love with my hair! Most other places don't know how to cut or style curly hair. Natalie was fabulous! The salon is beautiful, tranquil, and everyone was super nice. Would highly recommend the salon and definitely Natalie to anyone with curly hair. Was totally worth it!

I've been going Aurelio for several years, and have been very impressed with the services and professionalism they provide their clients. During Covid, they are taking extra precautions to protect both clients and employees. I feel completely safe going there for my hair. Kudos to Daisy and her wonderful team!

Natalie cut my hair its the worst haircut I have ever received. I made the appointment and called twice to make sure I wasn't down for a Deva cut because this is a Deva salon, I just wanted a layer cut in the middle of my hair because I started to get a bell shape. I had long layers with spiral curls. The person at the front desk said I was down for a Deva cut when I arrived, I had to say I just wanted a layer cut in I was also told on the phone before I arrived I was put down for a consultation.
At this point Natalie became quite annoyed that I wanted a consultation. I I told her what I wanted and she had convinced me to get a Deva cut which by the way cost $96. She proceeded to cut short choppy layers straight across into my hair and cut all my curls off. The bulk of my hair ends at the middle of my head. The pictures attached show where the bulk of my hair ends and where she left long stragley pieces down to the top of my shoulders.
No it's not a shadow in the picture it was basically a mullet. I also said my hair was fine during the consultation so put only a third of the product usually put in someone's hair which did not happen, I looked like Medusa when I left the salon my hair was so greasy. I called the salon when I got home to tell him how unhappy I was and sent them a picture of my hair their response was to give me a credit in the salon for the $96 I had paid and not a full refund.
Why would I walk into this salon to get a credit for anything? What a horrible experience. I had to get another cut to fix the mess that cost $75 and had to get over 4 inches cut off to even my hair out in the back and another inch in the front.

Used to come here for a stylist I loved, but it seems like nobody good stays for long. Salon feels very outdated, the whole place needs a dire facelift, and there's bad customer service at the front desk (stood there for a while without anybody even acknowledging me). Then the milk was curdled in the coffee they gave me. Never again

Been back and forth but I finally decided to do this. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 to acknowledge the hairdressers I've had before. I don't even live in N.J. anymore but I used to wait to get my hair done when I came back to visit. Unfortunately they've now lost my business; my last haircut was so bad I had to write a review. I got this cut MONTHS ago and my hair is still so uneven that people are regularly pointing it out.
I also asked for an inch and a half off and ended up with a bob. I could tell that my person was inexperienced and even though I know nothing about hairdressing it was easy to see they kept going shorter because they were messing up. Hate to do this but y'all need to do a better job of making sure your less experienced workers are at least competent!

Stylist was 30 min late for the appointment. Front staff did not have the courtesy to inform me of the delay in service. I had to go and ask. Blow-out that took 25 min and using only a curling iron was overpriced and the job was mediocre. Always had a good experience with blowouts here but not in this case.

This was one of the best blowouts (and salon experiences) I've had in years. My hairdresser, Jess, did a great job with my 2c-3b curly hair. She was really talented with smoothing out my normal frizz into a gorgeous blowout, and styled it just how I wanted it. A lot of other salons I have been to have had trouble with my hair, but it looked smooth and sleek, like it had been flat ironed.
I really appreciated how Jess walked me through each product she was using, and I felt like she chose perfect ones for my hair type. The salon itself also focuses on those special spa touches - I was greeted with a cup of tea, goodie bag, and tour of the salon, and everything felt beyond luxury. They even used hot towels when washing my hair! My one complaint about the salon is that although not outrageous, it is a little pricey. $50 for a quick split-ends trim does seem like a little much, however, for a once in a while blowout, it indefinitely worth it. All in all, if you are looking for a spa experience or a great blowout for curly hair, this is the salon (and I definitely recommend Jess).

This place is over priced and doesn't care about keeping future costumers clearly. The girl who did my hair was very sweet and did do a good job on my hair. But since my hair use to be blonde and I went brown it faded extremely fast and I spent over $140 for my hair to be BROWN not RED in 3 washes. I was horrified. I called and asked if they could possibly fix it I just wanted it to be brown they said they would call me back and never did.
I called again and they said they would call me back AGAIN.and never did. So I decided to not give them anymore of my business and called to cancel when I said I didn't not plan on coming back because I was not happy with my hair and never got a call back she said "okay have a nice day!" and that was all! Poor costumer service for the price. I do not ever go out of my way to rate things, but if a business cannot even give simple advice on how to help a costumer they will not receive my business. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I had a great initial experience here, trying a new stylist and salon can always be a little harrowing. I walked out thinking I had indeed found a "new home"; happy and prepared to become a loyal, frequent customer, as well as share positive reviews to anyone who would listen. Word-of-Mouth business is crucial, so, as a business owner myself, I am dedicated to encouraging people to patronize local small businesses.
A day later, I had one simple question that I was interested in asking my stylist, after which I would most likely be booking another appointment as soon as I could. Long story short, I emailed the salon, and was advised to make an appointment for another consultation (which I had just done prior to this service). My question was simple and truly did not pose a need for another consultation.
At the time of this writing, after the initial emails, I have currently called the salon a total of four times simply to ask my question, been assured by various employees that my contact information would be given to my stylist, and I would definitely receive a return phone call as soon as possible. I have heard or received no return communication of any kind.
I am so disappointed and frustrated by all this. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment. It is my feeling that their customer service policies and follow-through to ensure customer satisfaction leave much to be desired.

Could not wait to come to this salon with my daughter and holy to report they did not disappoint. Have a hectic work schedule as we own our own business. We both had haircut appointments with Kim. We had a tour of the salon and it is extremely clean, the setup is fabulous and what a completely relaxing time. After our tour we ended in waiting area with our choice of hot or cold beverages and biscotti.
Happy bright atmosphere and all the girls are happy and all beautiful. Jessica took me back to a quiet very zen shampoo room. I say in a reclining chair get up and the shampoo sink adjusted to me not me to the sink. Total comfort. I thought that was awesome. Then Jessica does the most wonderful scalp message while washing my hair. I was in relaxation heaven.
The products smell wonderful and leave your hair feeling so clean and silky. Then a conditioner more massage it was wonderful. Before this Kim had a consultation with me and listened to everything I said the whole time combing my hair and then she told Jessica exactly what to use on my hair for shampoo and conditioner. I am so impressed with the service and attention at this salon.
My daughter felt the same way. The prices are very reasonable for the service they provide. I have difficult hair and my daughter to we left feeling beautiful and are coming back for hair color next week. Thank you to everyone at this Howell location for your attention, your professionalism and for making our day from the second we walked in the door till the minute we left.

Needed a salon to do Mini-Me's hair and make up for her 8th grade graduation dance. Paid twice- first visit-was to to try out different make-up looks and hair styles and the 2nd time the day of the actual event. Although we did have an appointment and made it early enough and with enough time for her to have plenty of time to get her home and ready without stressing the time, they had lots of proms girls in the same time and the appointment took longer because it wasn't the same stylist we had originally seen. Mini-Me was stressed she was going to be rushing.
She has long hair and had a beautiful Grecian up-do, I was very specific that we did not want the hair at the base of her neck shaved. I stepped away to make a call, I came back and -- and it was shaved. She was upset later that night when she took her hair down, she had lots of long strands of hair that came out, that were no longer connected to her scalp.
I was kinda pissed, but its hair and will grow back. As for the up-do and make up- despite that small hiccup- they did an amazing job and she looked stunning, I think the prices are a bit high on some items but I felt that what I did pay matched what we received.

Stopped in for a cut a few weeks ago, buzzed way too short. Hard to fix after the damage is done. First time, last time. Way overpriced for what i got. I am used to paying a set price. Too much price variation and a very rude manager. Front desk did not know what they were doing, a lot of people all very confused. Wont be back.
