Julian and Fabian started at 16 years old working for their parents in their salons. Shortly after, their father, who was a global hairdresser, sent them to London & Italy where they completed a European apprenticeship in hairdressing. Our team is continuously being trained to further their skill and knowledge.
In our two upscale hair salons, all located in Cary, NC, we have stylists trained in presenting fresh and modern perspectives on hair styling for both men and women. Julian started his career in hairdressing at an early age, inspired by his parents and family who had successful salons in Europe and the US. His training, like his brother's, began in London working and training with Sanrizz. He later traveled and trained in Detroit and completed training with a renowned hairdresser in South Florida.

My wife and I have followed J&F Gemelli for many years and she was really happy with how Nino colored her hair today. I also want to add how much I value the work of Kris, who is a genuine barber. She is outstanding and I recommend her work for anyone who wants the full barber treatment. It's refreshing and outstanding.

I wanted to get the cherry red highlights to my natural dark curly hair and I even showed the picture example to stylist Emily. Unfortunately, I didn't know that she applied toner on my highlights and did the job. She didn't inform me about the pigmentation of the red color or transferred any knowledge. When I went home and the third day I simply washed my hair, it stripped all the red color and even my clothes were stained. Then, I called the front desk to seek help from another stylist, Nicki.
I told the front desk that I require color fix and want to get the highlights redone as I spent close to $200 n wasn't satisfied. So, Nicki and I talked for few minutes and I told her right away that I'm not satisfied with the coloring and I showed her the picture example to do my hair like that. She also pretty much did the same thing, except apply permanent red dye on my highlights and transferred knowledge how to take care of red hair. However, when I showed picture to Nicki, she said she will charge $200 something to show that kind of effect!
I was like what? Why can't you add more highlights? She informed that the front desk lady told her to fix my highlights that's it! And she is allotted only 2 hours with me! I felt extremely dissatisfied that despite of paying so much I couldn't get the result I wanted. When I called back after few days for Nicki to set an appointment for Brazilian blowout n get the result as per the picture, the front desk lady told me that Nicki doesn't want to speak to me as there couldn't be any connection!?
I'm not here to connect with anyone, I simply wanted to come to a salon to get my hair done as per expectation! Is it so difficult to understand? As a courtesy she couldn't even call back! I do not recommend this place at all as the stylists do not admit their mistakes. People who did my hair are not qualified enough to work on different hair textures or colors!

I have been going to this business now over 15 years and my stylist is Emily K. There are not enough words to fully provide the numerous reasons she is amazing. I trust her 100% in all decisions with my hair. She has lived in NYC and Miami and CA and brings the styling ideas that align with the look I want. Would come back to her even if I moved away from NC!

This location was able to fit me in last minute on Valentine's Day after I had a really unfortunate experience at the Lochmere location that almost left me with dull and unevenly covered hair and no hair appointment for a special date my boyfriend had planned that night. Stone Creek was very accommodating, and I'm extremely happy things worked out the way they did! Clay was awesome, funny and friendly and listened to my goals for my hair and was honest with me about what the first results would probably be due to my previously copper hair.
My boyfriend loved my hair and I felt way more confident than I have in a long time. I know my hair has years worth of bleach in it and it's hard to hold color sometimes for long and all I did was ask about their hair color refreshers just to get some of the color back and they offered to recolor it for no cost to me without even asking because they felt the color should've lasted longer.
This is what you call amazing customer service which can be incredibly hard to find these days especially in Salons. I just moved here from NJ and was very attached to my hair dresser and I'm glad to have found Clay who I trust 100% with my hair. The whole staff was so nice and each of them took interest in my color and put a lot of thought into how they were going to execute what I wanted. Highly recommend!

Alan is a brilliant star. I used to go to him all the time. However I ran out of the time needed for his careful and precise work and had to find someone who could get my cut and color done quickly. If you are looking for someone who truly cares about their clients, is engaged and does brilliant work, try to get with him.

Used to be a regular client here and at the Lochmere location. Have had several issues with complacent and quite frankly, snooty stylists who think they have artistic license to do what they want instead of what is asked for. Some people might be ok with that but for those of us who know exactly what they want (even have pictures!), this place is not where you want to go.
Recently had a terrible color/cut that ruined my hair and resulted in the master stylist reluctantly recoloring my hair the following day after arguing that I had not been clear enough with her regarding what I wanted. I told her at the end of the cut/color that I wasn't happy with the result but she told me that I'd "learn to love it". Ludicrous.
A master stylist should not be charging for a full cut/color/blow dry if they end up handing their client over to an intern to blow dry and style the hair after the cut/color. When I went back to get my hair fixed after the disaster, the stylist was not apologetic in the least and STILL tried to dye my hair a color that I specifically said I didn't want - when I asked her about it she (again reluctantly) changed the color to what I had asked for.
I still had someone else wash my hair and only dry a small segment of my hair so I could see the color. They let me walk out of the salon with dripping wet hair and a partial refund. The stylist's apology was through gritted teeth and I received no apology from the manager. No stylist worth their salt should ever let a client walk out with soaking wet hair, let alone should they ever allow a client to leave if they are not 100% satisfied with their cut. I will never go back and the stylist will just have to "learn to love it" too.

After going to this salon for 4 years and having the styist for the last two years. I AM DONE! This last time was the final straw! I told Brit exactly what I wanted done. Base coat with blonde highlights. Well she decided to cut corners or figured she knew more than me the customer, and decided to do highlights and low lights and darken my hair. When I returned the next week from my trip I called her and told her I was disappointed that she had not listened to me and I wanted her to redo the color.
When I arrived I told her what she was supposed to have done, Then Brit proceeded to argue with me! I told her for two years what I have had done by her! She continued to make a scene and argue with me! I refuse to put up with her attitude and poor customer service! I guess her client base is good enough that she doesn't care if she loses a two year client! Good Riddance! And for those of you looking for a stylist at JFGemelli. I'd keep looking!

The haircut itself was amazing but the customer service and overall experience was not. I had Kristi (I think?) and she hardly said one word to me, even when I asked her for ideas for a new hairstyle. She got frustrated when I couldn't describe or understand a haircutting technique she was talking about, so finally I just showed her some pictures of styles I like.
She did a really good job and was very careful about making it perfect, but other than that she was really unfriendly. Then the receptionist checking me out was on the phone the entire time telling someone how their register was short the night before. I left when the other receptionist said I was done. So great haircut but a bad experience, especially for a relatively expensive appointment.

Saw Diana, spent 3 hours with me. Patient, listened, gave me what I asked for once we understood each other for what I wanted and how she would accomplish that. Consult ended up involving 3 members of staff to make sure color and highlights were correct. Care, time, and effort were definitely taken to ensure my hair would come out the way we wanted.
Very well priced. 100% root coverage, multi-color highlight, color correction and cut $125 + tip. Great highlights, looks sunkissed and natural, especially considering all the colors which were needed (4). Great appt hours. I went in for a 5pm appt and was there until 8pm. Not quite the color I wanted, but I may not have communicated that clearly, and I needed a great deal of correction.
The woman next to me was drinking wine which I was not offered. Scalp massage is definitely something I appreciate with salon services, but, being polite, was not a service I felt was provided.

I just moved to this area and from being with a hairstylist for 15 years. I was very nervous to chose a salon via yelp, but I can honestly say it paid off. I was able to get in very quickly due to a new stylist coming to the area. As if finding a new salon was not scary enough, now looking at a new stylist that just moved to the area was a leap of faith. Well, Nino, from Boston, was excellent.
We really connected. He consulted with me but also asked my opinion. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get! I am a happy returning customer. As I was leaving a woman said to me " I absolutely love your hairstyle". That is the best compliment Nino and I could get! Also, I had some network issues but Chris, at the front desk, worked the problem with me and enabled me to work and get my hair done! Great place and deserves 5 stars!

I had the great pleasure of getting my hair done by Alan at 113 Ledgestone Way in Cary. He came highly recommended and he proved beyond a doubt that he is one of the best stylists I have ever come across and a wonderful person too. For the first time in my life I heard my husband say I looked very nice in that hair style and he loved the color too.
So did everybody I came in contact with, even strangers said nice things about my hair! That was unusual and nice. I loved the salon, everybody from the front desk to rest of the staff were friendly. Working in the service industry, specially in a salon is a very hard job. I was very impressed by everybody's courteous nature and their smile. Thanks Alan you are the best.

It took me over 2 yrs. after I moved here to find a great hairdresser. I finally did when I switched to J & F Gemelli. I've gone to all of their locations but I like the West Cary location the best. Everyone in there is especially friendly. Lauren is a great receptionist who is on top of it all. I use Fabian as my hairdresser. He knows the latest styles and trends.
I have curly hair and it took me a long time to find someone who knows how to cut my hair. Fabian knows! The great thing about these salons is that they take classes and go to conferences to stay modern. If you are looking for a salon these are the places to go.
