Italian born owner and proprietor, Philip Alastra, has been in the business of beauty for nearly half a century. Philip began his career as a stylist in his hometown of Trapani, Italy where he opened his first salon at the young age of 18. His ambition and drive for success led him to the United States where he opened, owned and operated salons throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. After successfully building a large New York clientele, Philips' love for the beach led him to Jupiter, FL where he opened Galaxy Hair Designs in 1988.

The hair dresser was very nice and did a great job but unfortunately the front desk staff was quite off putting and rude and therefore I had to reduce the stars to 3 and would be the only reason that I would not return which is a shame cause the woman who did my hair was really nice and did a good job.
