Do not go to Elizabeth. My wife was forced to leave Tangles in TEARS before even getting her hair done. I have never heard of such unprofessionalism. If you value kindness in a salon worker, go elsewhere.

I walk by here everyday and it's always an amazing experience highly recommend, you could even go inside probably even better, if you have hair. Which I do not. But a great location!

Elizabeth was rude and condescending and sarcastic. 100% worst experience I've ever had at a salon. You'll get better service at the DMV.

Wendell is absolutely wonderful! Condition of my hair has vastly improved owe that to Wendell. Love my cut and color my hair is healthy, soft, shiny! It is truly relaxing sitting in his chair always happy with the results. Highly recommend Wendell if you are looking for stylist. Exceptional customer service and always greeted with smile. I've been trying to find a hair stylist in missoula for over 2 years. And finally! I found one who gave me the best hair cut in years! I plan on coming back for all my hair needs.

Just moved to town. Lucked out with Elizabeth at Tangles! I have long thick curly hair. Elizabeth is so passionate about what she does and an expert with curly hair. She cut it beautifully. Touched up my roots and gave me blonde highlights which look amazing. She was fun and the time flew by as well. Thanks Elizabeth!

Critical: Quality, Value Lori is a Hairstylest here that says she's good with colors due to her certification. My sisters and I have all been to her. My sisters twice and she seems to not to be able to get the color right. Than she insists it will go lighter due to a shampoo. We canceled our appointment with her. Service: Hair coloring

I love the way my hair turned out! I'm naturally dark blonde and go lighter blond. I was very happy with the services here and the price is more than fair. Absolutely recommend, even if it is not the fanciest-appearing salon there is. I'll keep coming back

Wendell is great! Salon is nice! Has it's own parking lot that's is wonderful with them being downtown. No one else working really said hi or anything but Wendell is nice and inviting and help full

The very best. period. Kim and her team are pros, they are priced reasonably and Kim feels like she is as invested in my image as the head of a youth non-profit as I am. Do not go anywhere else, and don't try to save money. You're worth it.

I've seen Wendell twice now, first at the end of last September, then again yesterday. I had went to a different place a few times earlier this year because I had to be very frugal. It's better to wait until you can afford a good cut unless all you need is the most basic of trims. Wendell fixed my hair yesterday and I'm so pleased with the result. I'm going back next week for a highlight.

If you want to be an electronic music star, this is a place to go. You can get a Mohawk or a classic style. Wendell is a Picasso with the scissors.

Elizabeth did an amazing job with color and a trim! I'm from out of state and needed someone who could match my color and not change too much. Elizabeth listened, made some great suggestions and explained what she would do and why. I'm going back for low lights in 2 weeks - I love her! Wish I could convince her to come to coastal Georgia! The salon itself was lovely and easy to get to with good parking!

I had an appointment with Lori. I had very long hair and wanted to go short. She took her time and really listened to what I wanted to to with my hair. She took great care in the cut and in explaining to me the issues I might have since my hair had been long and heavy for as long as it had been. I was very happy with the result and I will be back

Tangles is absolutly wonderful! They have seperate and sections where you get your hair cut, so its private. I thought that was pretty awesome. The owner cut my hair, and she loves her job, is very talkative (which is always a plus) and she does a wonderful job! I have never gone to a hairstylist who listens to what i would like to do with my hair. I recommend getting your hair cut here.

In December I started calling around to try to find someone to get my hair permed by. The typical response at most salons I called was they didn't have anyone that could do it or particularly enjoyed doing it. I have very long natural red hair with some wave. So it would obviously be time consuming. The last place I used stopped returning my calls to reschedule after multiple calls so I moved on to somewhere that wanted my business.

I called Tangles and reception was great and recommend stylist Lori. I then spoke with Lori to give her an idea of my goals. She was pleasant and eager to schedule. I believe I got in within a week if not sooner and it was a late afternoon appointment which was an even bigger plus. Lori did an amazing job. She was patient and didn't rush through.

My perm turned out perfect. It looks natural and that was my main goal. I would recommend Lori to anyone looking for this service. I believe the price was resonable giving my hair length and need for a trim during this visit.

I adore Wendell. I'm sad to have moved & not have the option to go to him to "save my hair", as I have over the last several years! If you're looking for a great stylist who does amazing color, Wendell is your guy!

I just cruised into town for work, I work for an airline and always have limited time in a place. I was in DESPERATE need for a manicure. Went to a few spots before coming here to no avail. "Whats an out of towner gotta do to get a mani in Missoula?" Nisha did an AMAZING JOB. Spent a lot of time with each nail making sure it was perfect. A normal amount of time, but her attention to detail was unlike I had ever seen.

A superb job, a great experience and a wonderful convo about travel and the like. My shelac mani was $35 to boot! Completely reasonable and affordable. I will be back next time I am in Missoula and in need of a nice manicure. Thank you Nisha!

Lori is fantastic, she's friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure that my hair was done just the way I wanted it, I'll always make sure my hair appointments are with her

I chose tangles bc of positive Yelp reviews, and Wendell came highly recommended. Although he was mostly professional, I think his style is old school. I said I currently had a slight ombre and he said he "doesn't do that" and rolled his eyes, like it was just too trendy for him, or unattractive. My supposed-to-be subtle highlights came out looking chunky and rather orange, and he didn't do anything more than a slight trim, when I asked for a full cut and style.

His prices were reasonable, but then again, I had to pay to have my hair revised by another stylist. Update: my name wouldn't be in the books because I don't post under my real name. My appointment was June 10. I have also attached a photo of the helps.

I've been going to Elizabeth for 5 years now. She always does a great job and is honest with me from the start about what I can realistically do with my color. I always get great compliments on my hair and I attribute it all to her. Everyone at Tangles is friendly and helpful as well!

After having my head mangled down in Hamilton in July, I was waiting for it to grow out so I could have some remediation done! I saw the predominance of good reviews here on Yelp forTangles, so made an app't with Kim. She was sitting at the front desk when I walked in, and immediately made eye contact and engaged me with questions -- we didn't get around to hair talk until I was in the chair enrobed -- she began combing and swirling my hair, pointing out the various colic's, swirls, natural waves, etc that I have been living with for alifetime, IOW she was managing myexpectations about the unruly breakouts and tufts that were left by the previous barbarian/stylist. Anyway, when it was over (in about 9 minutes!) the sides of my hair were totally cleaned up and balanced with the top; she didn't even touch the top. she just knew what to do. Then, she said that since it was only a half a haircut she would cut the price to 1/2. Needless to say, I was charmed by Kimberly, the owner and proprietor for 23 years, and now the day after I marvel at how she cleaned my head up so quickly and expertly! Thank you!

I recently went in to Tangles. I am new to the city, I saw Kim she gave me the best damn cut and highlights/lowlights I've had in years. And I'm from Seattle! Love love love. To top it off I had a quick mani with Nisha while processing! She even had a private room so no one would see me in that get up, thanks again. Would recommend highly.

I moved to Missoula at the beginning of January and was LONG overdue for a haircut/style. Having had the same stylist for over two years, I was PETRIFIED about finding another. I read a couple of Yelp reviews for Tangles and gave them a call last week and asked for Wendell. I showed him of few pics of the style that I'd had (since there was NO style to my hair when I went in!) and he did a FABULOUS job. Im so happy with what he did, and he's just SUPER nice as well. And bonus, it's walking distance from where I live! Thanks Tangles, you've put me at ease.

Moving to a new town and finding a new hairstylist can be quite difficult. Since moving to Missoula, I've tried Boom Swagger and then Twigs and I'm so glad that I finally found the right hairstylist at Tangles. Wendell came highly recommended to me by a friend, I've seen him twice now and he does a great job. I can be picky about my highlights, I want them to look really natural and he does them perfectly.

Wendell made my head look like a banana. This comment came from my daughter. I was so embarrassed. He's not good with color.

Called in and scheduled an appointment. Service was very speedy even though I arrived early. Kim (the owner and stylist who worked with me) was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn't really know how I wanted my hair cut bit she worked with me and came up with a style that I'm quite happy with. Will definitely be coming back.
