The Kennesaw shop is nestled between I75 & I575 on Chastain Road. This is Kennesaw's neighborhood barbershop and just around the corner from KSU. Not some cheesy franchise or concept, we're locally owned by barbers who live right here in metro Atlanta. American Haircuts Services are provided by barbers and stylists trained in the art of cutting men's hair.

We're located on the Gallery Level of The Hub at Peachtree Center a few doors down from Firehouse Subs.
We are pleased to offer our employees one of the most comprehensive benefits packages available in the barbering industry. We are a local company that is owned by barbers, so we understand what it is like to stand behind the chair! American Haircuts offers barber pay that is very competitive. Our prices are generally higher than the competition with suburban store prices between $28 and $36 and in town stores between $32 and $40. We offer great commission rates and you take home your tips daily (our barbers typically earn $20-$40 per hour).

My regular stylist at another location left the company so I stopped by American Haircuts to take a risk with a new stylist. I had Donald and have to say that I literally received the best haircut of my life! I was nervous and he completely made me feel at ease. He talked through what I was looking for and then got to work. I wish I found him years ago. He is awesome! If you are looking for a modern cut with someone talented, look no further than him!

Enjoyed being able to select my appointment details, from barber/stylist to time and day, all online. It was my first time visiting so I didn't have much to go on for choosing a barber so I picked out by time slot. I went with a lot of hair and asked get it cleaned up and shaped into an actual hairstyle and it came out great. Will definitely visit in a few weeks for my next cut.

Definitely the worst experience I've ever experienced at a barbershop. I've only gone to American haircuts for the past 2 years, but with Will at the Kennesaw location and have only had great experiences. I went to the midtown location having made an appointment, but still waited for 20 Minutes. I finally sit down with the barber who immediately points out the skin issues I have on the back of my neck.
I explain this is an issue I've been battling with for the past couple of years. He refuses to cut my hair and insists I come back in a couple weeks, though I explain there will not be a difference from now to a couple weeks as this has been an ongoing issue. He offers a discount and just leaves me at the front desk. I try to reschedule with the front desk person, but they don't respond.
At this point, I am frustrated for being disregarded the entire day and just leave. Not only has this experience been traumatizing, but disappointing from what I've expected from a company I've gone to countless times. I understand if the barber is uncomfortable to cut my hair, though no barber in the past has ever said that, but simply offering to reschedule and not even offering another possible solution to work around it or a suggestion on how to get it the area clear gives me the feeling they didn't want to deal with me on that day, which I hope was not the case. I know I will definitely not be going to this location again and advise that if you do to keep your expectations low.
