It's taken me 6 years to find "my" salon. Michael took time to get me and my hair & did a fabulous job. lots of compliments!

I see Cass and adore her! She listens to my goals and has been instrumental in getting my hair healthy and gorgeous. I love my cut and color at every visit. She's a perfectionist and I thank her for it!

I've been coming here for a little over a year. My stylist is Delia and let me tell you. she's amazing! I've been doing my haircuts along with shampoo and style since I've been a customer here with her as well. I finally decided to color my virgin hair for the first time time in 5 years. It's a big deal LoL. I trusted her the entire time with my hair and she did an amazing balayage. It's really gorgeous! I love it. Key point - I also have curly hair. It's hard to find someone that can cut a good curly headed person. I will continue coming here!

I have scheduled a hair cut appointment via phone and wasn't told about 24hr cancellation policy. When I called up on the day of appointment and requested for a reschedule due to a conflict, the receptionist said yes they can reschedule. And moved my appointment to the next day without telling me anything about the cancellation charges. She calls me back in 5mins and says I need to pay half of the service fee as I cancelled within 24hrs.

So I said, well I'm not aware of that. If that is the case, I will make it for the scheduled appointment. She said the stylist is booked now and I have to pay the cancellation charges. The receptionist said she is new to the salon and not aware of the cancellation policy but its mentioned on their website. But I didn't book my appointment on their website, I did it via phone and no one told me about it. Its totally unfair to charge a cancellation fee. I didn't expect this from a reputed well rated salon. I'm never gonna visit them again.so disappointing.

This place is a joke. I brought in a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and the hairdresser (Tanya) said she didn't know how to cut it like that. She then tried to pawn me off onto another hairdresser with earliest available being the next day, but I have things to do tomorrow (I had a scheduled appointment for today). What a waste of time. Never going here again.

Got my bridal makeup and hair done in the salon. The place is really nice and the staff are really friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Well to start off I brought a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and then I explained it in detail and showed Nicole exactly the length I wanted. My hair was very long and I told her I wanted to have it past my shoulders and layered. She cut it to the tips of my earlobes and did not layer it. I left there crying and in tears and then contacted this place and they didn't even get back to me so I had to go to another salon and have them fix it. I have a wedding in 2 weeks, so please go somewhere else!

Cass did an amazing job on my full highlight! I am sooooo pleased! She is a magician! I highly recommend her and this salon!

Do not sign up for the sip, style, and shoot. They do not allow you to select your own headshot from the photographer. Save your money!

This is what I get after spending $375 and cash tips. When asked them to fix properly blow drying my hair, I was very rudely refused. I was there for 4 hours and wasn't expecting this kind of service. Looks like they don't care for customer and only in business by minting money. VERY FRUSTRATED AND NEVER RETURING

Tanya was my stylist and she was absolutely amazing! This is my second time getting my hair done by her and I can fully trust her with my hair. She is kind, professional and knows exactly what the client wants. Thank you Tanya!

Mike Jones at the Domain location is, unequivocally, hands-down, the best hair stylist I've seen in Austin. Over the past seven years, I've had eight stylists for my curly (2c/3a) hair. While one or two have been ok, it's been my experience that many don't have the specific knowledge for cutting curls. It really requires the right kinds of layers to de-bulk and free the texture. Mike cut my hair wet, which I strongly prefer to a dry cut (that often turns into random pruning, in my humble opinion), and the result was pure perfection.

He blew out my hair to carefully touch up all the layers--and I could not have been happier with the finished product. He is a master stylist and a hair architect. And a nice person to boot. Curly girls: run--don't walk.

I just moved to the domain and was hoping to find a great salon I could walk to here- and I'm in luck! I went in yesterday for my first haircut in almost a year. Cass, my stylist, put me at ease right away. My ends were looking pretty rough and I wanted some more body to my hair. I was also considering some subtle curtain bangs, and she had great advice about how to style them.

She started with a shampoo, and I opted for an additional conditioning treatment which was accompanied by lovely scalp massage. The cut and styling was quick and easy, and I love the way it turned out. Cass was very friendly and chatty and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be back!

Gotta come here and try Kat for a haircut. First time in my life I had no anxiety getting a haircut. Kat was professional, light, kind, and an excellent conversationalist. I was certain after 5 minutes that she knew what she was doing, and that I had found the right place. My cut turned out better than I had even imagined, and the price was perfect. Best thing about my experience is that I ended up having lots of fun, just getting a haircut. For this I will definitely return. Thanks Kat!

Nicole Sok was my stylist at Jose Luis salon, and she was absolutely excellent. Extremely knowledgeable about hair and various techniques for coloring and cutting hair as well as methods for maintaining hair. She was very friendly and efficient. She was helpful in determining the best color and length for my hair as well as recommending products specifically for my hair. Nicole made me feel comfortable to ask questions and gave thoughtful and informative answers.

I have been getting my hair colored and highlighted for over 10 years and she provided me with information about my hair that I previously had never been told. My experience with Nicole and the whole staff at Jose Luis Salon was excellent.

I got my first salon haircut in over a decade here and it was very enjoyable. The lady was so nice and we chatted the whole time and I felt really nervous at first but she made me feel so comfortable. I only got a cut with nothing else and it was 100 bucks and that scared me but I really do think my haircut is really cool and I'd go again in another decade.

This salon was very welcoming- I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who assisted me at the front desk but his customer service was exceptional! The stylist I was referred to was Dorcas. There are no words to describe how amazing I felt being in her chair. The work she did to my hair, I have NEVER EVER had that type of experience with any other stylist I have worked with. EVER.

She worked magic on this curly mop of mine. It feels amazing, looks healthy and giving me so much life. I actually walked out with product in my hair! I didn't leave the salon looking like Mufasa- as I have at other salons. Dorcas is truly one of kind and I'm very thankful to have had the opportunity in working with her. Thank you a million times over!

I had a great experience here last week. I'm newer to the area, so let them suggest someone and they recommend Samantha (Sam). She was great! I was wanting to do some balayage but wasn't sure about partial or full. Sam was great with asking questions about what I wanted for color and dimension. I also wasn't sure about the length to cut off and she was great about making recommendations based on how I style my hair. Overall I was super happy with the result and would highly recommend you book with Sam!

Samantha is absolutely amazing and worth every penny! I literally got 3 compliments walking home from the salon. Most importantly, the soon-to-be hubs LOVED it. Thank you so much for making me feel gorgeous, Samantha.

OKAY SO. i had booked a hair appointment at a different salon for a full day's worth of coloring and cutting my insanely long mane that i hadn't gotten done in over a year. I asked off of work and everything. Long story short, they booked the wrong date and I would have had to wait another long painful month to get it done, and ask off work again.

I used to live in the Domain and had been here once before so I was like what the hell, I'll call and see if they can get me in. I call at 11:30 and they are MAGICALLY able to get me in at 12:30 for exactly what I needed, it was fate. So that's great enough, but THEN I meet NICOLE Sok. She's super sweet and I show her a picture of what I want, a long layered balayage.

We begin the 4 hour daunting process and I'll admit I was nervous at first bc I rarely ever get my hair done, so I never know what to expect. She suggests adding a rooted smudge at the top and I say ok sounds great. Let me freaking tell you. The second she started blow drying a single section of my hair I about jumped out of my damn seat. I had a completely basic all-over color when I sat down, with hair all the way down to my butt.

In four short(ish) hours, she took me from looking like a basic Amish girl to a whole new modern-day woman. I would say I was speechless, but honestly I couldn't shut up about how incredible it was. The way the colors PERFECTLY mix in with my natural hair, the rooted base she added, the cut and the layers were all exactly how I could've imagined it but better.

It literally looks better than the picture I showed her. If you go to this salon, ASK FOR HER or you will regret it sorry not sorry. Every single hair on my head is thanking me and I owe it all to her. I am giddy with joy and usually get my hair done once a year but I booked 6 months out with her just so I can see her work her magic again. I mean wow. Ok longest review I've ever written but if you've gotten this far, listen to me, she is worth the hype.

Cass was great! She took the time to make sure she understood what I wanted for my color and cut. She did a beautiful job on my hair and was super friendly. It's so hard to find a salon you trust and I can say I can't wait to go back. Thanks Cass! You are truly talented. P.S. the salon is beautiful!

I am so glad I had my haircut with Lawrence. He fixed my hair that was previously cut at another salon that just recently opened a new location in Cedar Park. I would cringe every time I styled my hair and couldn't stand it any longer - I hated my haircut and knew I had to call Jose Luis Salon and get in ASAP with Lawrence. He was very good at listening and following my requests.

I asked for a soft layered cut that worked with my wavy hair but also could be styled many ways and that is exactly what I got! Couldn't be happier and can't wait for my next appointment with him!

I have seen Lawrence several times now and am beyond pleased every time. I just saw him again this morning. He knows what he is doing. He asks for parameters up front, adheres to them and creates a fantastic cut and style each time. I prefer to rely on my stylists opinion and expertise and appreciate that I am able to trust him implicitly. My philosophy is that I prefer a high end stylist because they are clear about their visions.

I am not an Artist that specializes in the direct beautification of others. Lawrence is and he delivers. Lawrence helps me feel beautiful even in times when I just don't feel attractive at all. In addition to trusting Lawrence's extensive experience and knowledge, I appreciate him for who he is as an individual. He has character and a heart and he really delivers on his mission by "helping someone feel good about what and who they see in the mirror." He is someone I would consider a good soul and I feel comforted by that, considering forty five minutes is a long time to sit in someone's chair with one on one contact.

Side note - he is a fabulous dresser but no worries, I wear yoga pants and a sweatshirt each time, he still accepts me. Outstanding service from all individuals from the beginning of the experience to the end. All individuals, clients and associates alike, are genuinely smiling and conversational. The entire atmosphere is alive with good energy, bright colors and fragrance. Jose Luis Salon & Delia my stylist did it again! Completely happy with the staff from walking in the door to sitting with Delia. Luxury treatment always! And Delia has always taken care of me! I always love the color and the cut and style! She always does what I ask and really listens to me and then puts her whole creativity and talent to work! I've never been disappointed and neither will you!

I highly recommend Pamela Wilson, Master Stylist. She is an amazing hairstylist well-versed in working with all hair textures (yes, even curly and kinky). She's been my stylist for years and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else.

Moved to the Domain a few months ago and I never would of thought I'd be so lucky to find the perfect salon so close to home. I've seen a few stylists here and I have never been disappointed with my services. My blonde comes out perfect every time and my haircut is always fashion forward/clean cut. The salon is very clean and the pricing is reasonable.

They have great deals for anyone that lives in the Domain. They offered $20 off my first visit which was very nice. I will say that walking up to the salon seemed a tad intimidating my first visit because of how expensive it appeared to me from the outside however, that is not the case at all. It's not expensive at all, again very reasonable pricing.

I also have to mention that when I walked into the salon my first time, the entire front desk staff stood up to welcome me in, now thats eye catching customer service. Small details matter to some so I thank the staff for the professional, warm welcome. The vibe in the salon is great! I would say it's urban and luxury with a splash of fashion and funk.

Everything about this salon is beautiful. The whole staff is just great to work with! Take my advise, I live here. Thank you Jose Luis Salon staff for always taking care of my hair needs and for always providing a professional, beautiful experience every visit.

Nice looking place but had such a terrible haircut. For $65 you expect a professional cut and for the stylist to know what they're doing. It truly amazes me that salons employ Super Cuts quality stylists and mark up their prices 400%. The female stylist was very unsure of herself while cutting my hair and didn't seem to have any idea of what she was doing. My hair lengths are not blended properly and there are very noticeable harsh transitions between the clipper and scissor cut sections. Lloyd Christmas had a better haircut.

Lindsey is an amazing colorist! First recommended to me by a friend 18 years ago when she was working at the salon in Saks, she has colored my hair every since! Though she has changed salons (with Jose Luis Salon being the best by far!) I am devoted and have followed her. I strive for a natural look which she delivers on plus some. Like what God gave me when I was 20 .

She stays current with the latest trends and techniques which makes my hair really sparkle and shine. She is personable and a good listener and has the cutest pug ever! Can't recommend her enough!

Sorry for delay in giving cudos but wanted to say just how pleased I was with both the salon and Leticia. They were able to not only get my daughter in quickly but they were able to fit in a partial bayalage! The front staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the stylist was delightful and very talented! While the salon is a bit pricey, I have found that you get what you pay for, and this was money well spent!

Dorcas is my stylist! She is awesome with any ethnic type hair. I have biracial hair and she has been styling my hair for 4 years. She's new to the salon but so far the salon environment is great! I got to the domain and downtown. Hospitality and parking is good. I'm always out within an hour and I'm fabulous! Check out her profile on the website, there's pictures of her clients!
